Acrythane 2000 is our answer to solve all the problems of vehicle refinishing. To ensure non yellowing properties, we use only aliphatic isocyanate.

 

Areas of Application : Any vehicle, two wheeler; three wheeler; commercial vehicle; bus or car, which need re-painting of ferrous; nonferrous or even plastic parts of the vehicle, can be coated with acrythane 2000, to get a world class finish with extreme gloss.

 

Surface Preparation :

  • Remove old paint to see bare metal. This can be done with eurostrip.
  • Remove oil/wax from upon the surface, using rustosan p-017.
  • Apply a thin coat of metaprime-h (two pack wash primer), which is a must for aluminium body or parts.
  • Fill up the dents with eurofill (polyester putty) and do not use N.C. Putty.
  • Wet sand the surface using medium coarse emery paper to get a silky smooth surface. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly.
  • Apply one coat of acrythane primer grey ; allow to dry for 3-4 hours and wet sand, with medium coarse emery paper. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  • Apply preferably wet on wet, two coats of acrythane surfacer grey. Alternatively, apply the second coat after an interval of 3 to 4 hours. When the film is hard dry, wet sand, using the finset emery paper, to get a silk smooth surface.
  • For plastic parts, like bumpers, dashboard etc. A coat of adpro (adhesion promoter) is a must for adequate adhesion of acrythane 2000. On such areas, putty, primer-surfacer are not required.

Now, the vehicle is ready for application of acrythane 2000.

 

Directions for Use : Prepare the surface according to the heading “surface preparation”. Mix base and hardener in recommended ratio
and thin down to 20-22 seconds in ford cup no.4 @ 30o c. Use only P.U thinner 099.


In case of humidity in excess of 60%, blow hot air in the paint shop or in the spray booth. Ideal solution will be to install dehumidifier like bryair apply three coats, each at an interval of 3 – 4 hours.

 

Notes : P.U hardener is very sensitive to moisture. Keep the containers tight, each time after use. Normal thinners can ruin the P.U finish. Use only thinner 099. We offer adequate quantity of thinner 099, along with the base and hardener. Acrythane 2000 is also available as clear (varnish) for enhancing the gloss of any colour. It is fortified with uv inhibitor and thus, it lasts long as exterior finish.

Surface Preparation :
Basically, the surface must be primed, puttied, evened with the use of surfacer. Thus, the only care to be taken is the surface must be free from oil or grease spots. They can be solvent wiped to ensure proper adhesion.

 

Directions for Use : Stir the material in container, thin to required viscosity and start spraying. On smaller articles, wet on wet, three
coats must be applied while for a larger area three coats must be applied at an interval of 24 hours. The gloss obtained requires seeing for believing! After three days, apply a thin coat of wax or silicon polish.

 

Notes :
Please ensure that the painter, whom you have given the job, is an expert spray painter. May be, the fellow is costlier but to get a first class finish, it must. Eurocoat is also available in metallic shades as well as clear. The latter may be mixed with paint, to be used as final coat and in the ratio of 1:1.Never use clear by itself. It will result into faster loss of gloss.

Directions for Use : Stir base thoroughly and then mix 3 parts base and 1 part hardener by volume to uniform consistency. Allow the mixture to mature for 20 minutes and stir again before application during use.

  • Conventional spray : Add up to 8 - 10% thinner 055 depending on conditions.
  • Airless spray : Apply without thinning. However, up to 5% thinner 055

May be added if absolutely essential depending on conditions. Brush as it is without thinning.

 

Notes : Like any epoxy system, do not apply the primer when relative humidity is in excess of 80%. If need be, blow hot
air in the paint shop or booth.

  • Zinc chrome yellow, gives the best result in terms of corrosion resistance, followed by zinc phosphate grey and red oxide.
  • Mix the base and hardener in enough quantity to last five hours (before the pot life is over).
  • Wash the brush or gun, immediately after use, so that the brush does not stiffen or the gun does not get choked.
  • Hardener is based on polyamide resin only, for better flexibility and adhesion.

manufacturers paint their articles with stoving finishes. Thus, currently, N.C. Lacquers are used for re-finishing only. Here also trend is changing. More and more auto sprayers use quick drying synthetic enamels (like eurocoat) because for improving economy or they use
expensive P.U lacquers for longer lasting quality.

 

Yet in a large country like ours, use of N.C. Auto lacquers continue, because :

  • Most of auto spray painters work in open, whereby the problem of dust collection is usual and N.C. Lacquer film can be easily sanded with rubbing compound, which removes all dust particles adhered while spraying in the open.
  • Over a period (say two years) when the gloss is gone, it can easily be revived using small quantity ofrubbing compound.

 

There are number of N.C. Auto lacquers. What is the specialty of N.C. Hi-gloss lacquers? One has to learn a little chemistry to understand our answer :

  • N.C. Lacquers are made with a mixture of gun cotton, non-drying coconut oil alkyd, plasticizer, pigments and solvents. There are very standard ratios of raw materials to be used for getting the best quality.
  • Gun cotton is the most expensive and therefore unscrupulous manufacturers use less of gun cotton and more of alkyd.
  • Coconut alkyd is more expensive than dco alkyd and cheaper product can be made with the latter. Blown castor oil is cheaper than dop, which is a standard plasticizer. Again, in place of standard good quality solvents, cheaper solvent like acetone is used to reduce the cost.

 

Yet, for a layman, it is difficult to understand the difference because they look alike and the difference in quality is realized after nine to twelve months !

 

Another way of misleading the consumers is, artificially created highviscosity is offered with a claim that a customer can use three litres of thinner with one litre of lacquer thereby claiming four litres of paint out of one litre. This is absolute nonsense because thinner goes into air, leaving only solids on the surface. Thinner more than necessary, will require more coats to get appropriate hiding and extra thinner used, proves waste.

 

Areas of Application : Any two-wheeler, three wheeler, jeep, sedan car and commercial vehicle like a bus.

 

Surface Preparation : The surface must be free from oil, grease and rust. Should be well primer with all dents filled up either with N.C
putty or eurofil (polyester putty). Before commencing the use of N.C hi-gloss auto lacquer, the surface must be made thoroughly even with the use of N.C, primer surfacer grey.

 

Directions for Use : When surface has been thoroughly evened, thin the lacquer to required viscosity and start spraying. Minimum three coats are needed to get desired quality. Each coat must be applied at a minimum interval of four hours. Longer duration between each coat should not cause any problem. When hard dry (minimum o/n, start
burnishing with rubbing compound and thereafter wax/silicon polish must be used.

 

Notes : To achieve the desired level of performance, application instructions must be followed thoroughly. In case of need, the final coat may be applied with lacquer and clear, mixed in the ratio of 1:1 never apply clear by itself, as clear by itself has poorer gloss retention.


Also note N.C hi–gloss auto lacquer is totally free from rosin to give long lasting performance.

Notes : If possible, use the mixed paint within 48 hours. Storage for a longer time reduces leafing value and the full brightness gets reduced to some extent.

Health and Safety : Polyurethane paints contains free organic isocynate compound. Mixing and handling of this product must be carried out with taking proper safety measures to avoid skin contacts, eye contacts, and inhalation of solvent vapours and mist of the paint spray. Surface Preparation : The article to be provided must be free from oil, grease and rust. The best way to achieve perfection is to sand
blast or adopt 7-tank phosphate system. If for some reason, it is not possible, use rustosan, which removes oil/grease and rust in one operation. Besides, it gives a film of iron-zinc phosphate for better corrosion resistance.

 

Directions for Use : Prepare the surface as directed above. Take a small quantity of the paste on a putty spatula and start filling dents with semicircular motion of hand. Ensure that putty does not roll back. Since the putty contains about 40% of solvents, which go into air, dents will never get filled up in one operation. Minimum three coats of putty are needed to get a desired result. The putty can be applied wet on wet but it is recommended that a minimum time of half an hour be given between each coat so that pinholes do not develop. Start wet cutting using the finest paper and continue till a silky smooth surface is achieved.

 

Notes : After using the putty, close the lid of the container very tightly. Otherwise, drying will waste half the quantity.

Before application of a fresh coat of paint, the old paint film has to be removed. Directions for Use : Brush liberal quantity of eurostrip on the surface of old paint and wait for 10-15 minutes. The plastic emulsion and N.C. Paint films will soften. Remove them using spatula. Other paint films will blister and can be removed very easily. When many coats of old paint are to be removed, eurostrip has to be applied twice or thrice.

 

Notes : Eurostrip containers develop pressure because of very fast evaporating solvents. Therefore, the containers must be opened carefully, with eyes away from the lid. Avoid skin contact to prevent irritation. In case of any splash on the skin, wash immediately with water.

Surface Preparation :

  • Remove old paint to see bare metal. This can be done with eurostrip.
  • Remove oil/wax from upon the surface, using rustosan p-017.
  • Apply a thin coat of metaprime-h (two pack wash primer), which is a must for aluminium body or parts.
  • Fill up the dents with eurofill (polyester putty) and do not use N.C. Putty.
  • Wet sand the surface using medium coarse emery paper to get a silky smooth surface. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly.
  • Apply one coat of acrythane primer grey ; allow to dry for 3-4 hours and wet sand, with medium coarse emery paper. Allow to dry thoroughly.
  • Apply preferably wet on wet, two coats of acrythane surfacer grey. Alternatively, apply the second coat after an interval of 3 to 4 hours. When the film is hard dry, wet sand, using the finset emery paper, to get a silk smooth surface.
  • For plastic parts, like bumpers, dashboard etc. A coat of adpro (adhesion promoter) is a must for adequate adhesion of acrythane 2000. On such areas, putty, primer-surfacer are not required.

Now, the vehicle is ready for application of acrythane 2000.

 

Directions for Use : Prepare the surface according to the heading “surface preparation”. Mix base and hardener in recommended ratioand thin down to 20-22 seconds in ford cup no.4 @ 30o c. Use only P.U thinner 099.

In case of humidity in excess of 60%, blow hot air in the paint shop or in the spray booth. Ideal solution will be to install dehumidifier like bryair apply three coats, each at an interval of 3 – 4 hours.

 

Notes : P.U hardener is very sensitive to moisture. Keep the containers tight, each time after use. Normal thinners can ruin the P.U finish. Use only thinner 099. We offer adequate quantity of thinner 099, along with the base and hardener. Acrythane 2000 is also available as clear (varnish) for enhancing the gloss of any colour. It is fortified with uv inhibitor and thus, it lasts long as exterior finish.

After three days, apply a thin coat of wax or silicon polish.

 

Notes :Please ensure that the painter, whom you have given the job, is an expert spray painter. May be, the fellow is costlier but to get a first class finish, it must. Eurocoat is also available in metallic shades as well as clear. The latter may be mixed with paint, to be used as final coat and in the ratio of 1:1.Never use clear by itself. Directions for Use : Stir base thoroughly and then mix 3 parts base and 1 part hardener by volume to uniform consistency. Allow the mixture to mature for 20 minutes and stir again before application during use.

  • Conventional spray : Add up to 8 - 10% thinner 055 depending on conditions.
  • Airless spray : Apply without thinning. However, up to 5% thinner 055

May be added if absolutely essential depending on conditions. Brush as it is without thinning.

 

Notes : Like any epoxy system, do not apply the primer when relative humidity is in excess of 80%. If need be, blow hotair in the paint shop or booth.

  • Zinc chrome yellow, gives the best result in terms of corrosion resistance, followed by zinc phosphate grey and red oxide.
  • Mix the base and hardener in enough quantity to last five hours (before the pot life is over).

Lacquers are used for re-finishing only. Here also trend is changing. Yet in a large country like ours, use of N.C. Auto lacquers continue, because :

  • Most of auto spray painters work in open, whereby the problem of dust collection is usual and N.C. Lacquer film can be easily sanded with rubbing compound, which removes all dust particles adhered while spraying in the open.
  • Over a period (say two years) when the gloss is gone, it can easily be revived using small quantity ofrubbing compound.

 

There are number of N.C. Auto lacquers. What is the specialty of N.C. Hi-gloss lacquers? One has to learn a little chemistry to understand our answer :

  • N.C. Lacquers are made with a mixture of gun cotton, non-drying coconut oil alkyd, plasticizer, pigments and solvents. There are very standard ratios of raw materials to be used for getting the best quality.
  • Gun cotton is the most expensive and therefore unscrupulous manufacturers use less of gun cotton and more of alkyd.
  • Coconut alkyd is more expensive than dco alkyd and cheaper product can be made with the latter. Blown castor oil is cheaper than dop, which is a standard plasticizer. Again, in place of standard good quality solvents, cheaper solvent like acetone is used to reduce the cost.

 

Yet, for a layman, it is difficult to understand the difference because they look alike and the difference in quality is realized after nine to twelve months !

 

Another way of misleading the consumers is, artificially created highviscosity is offered with a claim that a customer can use three litres of thinner with one litre of lacquer thereby claiming four litres of paint out of one litre. This is absolute nonsense because thinner goes into air, leaving only solids on the surface. Thinner more than necessary, will require more coats to get appropriate hiding and extra thinner used, proves waste.

 

Areas of Application : Any two-wheeler, three wheeler, jeep, sedan car and commercial vehicle like a bus.

 

Surface Preparation : The surface must be free from oil, grease and rust. Should be well primer with all dents filled up either with N.Cputty or eurofil (polyester putty). Before commencing the use of N.C hi-gloss auto lacquer, the surface must be made thoroughly even with the use of N.C, primer surfacer grey.

 

Directions for Use : When surface has been thoroughly evened, thin the lacquer to required viscosity and start spraying. Minimum three coats are needed to get desired quality. Each coat must be applied at a minimum interval of four hours. Longer duration between each coat should not cause any problem. When hard dry (minimum o/n, startburnishing with rubbing compound and thereafter wax/silicon polish must be used.

 

Notes : To achieve the desired level of performance, application instructions must be followed thoroughly. In case of need, the final coat may be applied with lacquer and clear, mixed in the ratio of 1:1 never apply clear by itself, as clear by itself has poorer gloss retention.

Also note N.C hi–gloss auto lacquer is totally free from rosin to give long lasting performance.

The Karate Aluminium Paints are one of the most effective paints when it comes to the withstanding of the corrosion that occurs in mild steel. Scope : Aluminium paint is the most cost-effective coating to withstand corrosion of mild steel. Besides, it is heat and light reflective whereby, the ambient temperature under a roof coated therewith, is lower by 5-7oc. To get the best effect of shiny aluminium, use must be made of fine leafing aluminium paste. Also, the medium used must have the lowest viscosity with highest possible solids and lowest acid value. This is necessary for getting the best leafing value, which provides long lasting brightness.

 

Karate aluminium paint is made with all the above said characteristics. It is dual pack : medium in a bigger tin and paste into a smaller container. For the sake of convenience, the smaller pack is soldered to the lid of the larger can and the paste can be easily mixed into the medium can.

It is necessary to have dual package because the leafing value of aluminium gets lowered if the medium andpaste (aluminium) are combined into one pack.

 

Areas of Application : All mild steel articles, which need water resistance, can be coated with karate aluminium paint. It can be brushed as well as sprayed. It can safely be used for inside/outside coating of potable water tanks. It is also excellent forcoating mild steel roofing sheets, under which the temperature will be lower by 5-7oc against outer temperature.

Directions for Use : Prepare the surface as directed earlier. Mix medium and paste thoroughly. Dot not use high-speed mixer because under shear, aluminium flakes loose their leafing capacity. Do not use any thinner because the medium is pretty thin and does not need any further thinning when mixed with paste. Start brushing or spraying.

 

Notes : If possible, use the mixed paint within 48 hours. Storage for a longer time reduces leafing value and the full brightness gets reduced to some extent.

Health and Safety : Polyurethane paints contains free organic isocynate compound. Surface Preparation : The article to be provided must be free from oil, grease and rust. The best way to achieve perfection is to sandblast or adopt 7-tank phosphate system. If for some reason, it is not possible, use rustosan, which removes oil/grease and rust in one operation. Besides, it gives a film of iron-zinc phosphate for better corrosion resistance.

 

Directions for Use : Prepare the surface as directed above. Take a small quantity of the paste on a putty spatula and start filling dents with semicircular motion of hand. Ensure that putty does not roll back. Since the putty contains about 40% of solvents, which go into air, dents will never get filled up in one operation. Minimum three coats of putty are needed to get a desired result. The putty can be applied wet on wet but it is recommended that a minimum time of half an hour be given between each coat so that pinholes do not develop. Start wet cutting using the finest paper and continue till a silky smooth surface is achieved.

 

Notes : After using the putty, close the lid of the container very tightly. Otherwise, drying will waste half the quantity.

The softened or blistered paint can be easily wiped off using a spatula or even a rag pad.

Directions for Use : Brush liberal quantity of eurostrip on the surface of old paint and wait for 10-15 minutes. The plastic emulsion and N.C. Paint films will soften. Remove them using spatula. Other paint films will blister and can be removed very easily. When many coats of old paint are to be removed, eurostrip has to be applied twice or thrice.

 

Notes : Eurostrip containers develop pressure because of very fast evaporating solvents. Therefore, the containers must be opened carefully, with eyes away from the lid. Avoid skin contact to prevent irritation. In case of any splash on the skin, wash immediately with water.
