Indications:
Treatment of inflammatory and erosive-ulcerous diseases of gastric and duodenal mucosa, which are not due to Helicobacter pylori (HP) infection: gastritis, ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum, functional non-ulcerous dyspepsia, erosive duodenitis, post-operative inflammatory and erosive changes anastomositis, peptic ulcer of anastomosis.
In combination with antibacterial and antisecretory drugs for treatment of HP infection in ulcer disease, MALT-lymphoma, stomach cancer, chronic atrophic gastritis and chronic active antral gastritis, functional non-ulcer dyspepsia, GORD. Dosage and administration:
Adults: Recommended for treatment of ulcer disease and erosive gastroduodenitis is 1 tablet Bismunol, 4 times daily for 30 days. The tablets are taken 30 min. before meal with sufficient quantity of water. For Helicobacter pylori eradication in combination with antibacterial and antisecretory drugs 1 tablet 4 times daily for 14 days, whereupon therapy may continue only with Bismunol until the one-month course is completed. If required, the therapeutic course may continue up to 8 weeks followed by a pause of about 8 weeks. No other drugs containing bismuth salts should be taken during this period. Before Bismunol therapy prescribing, any malignant process should be excluded in patients with ulcer disease.
