When looking at a longer-term, around 376 million individuals obtain an STD each year. In Singapore, there has been a recent increase in the reported cases of STDs. Men in Singapore seems to be more likely to contract an STD than women, with the majority of new cases reported in male patients between 25 and 29 years of age. In 2016, 10, 767 patients were diagnosed with some type of STD in Singapore.
