Modern Lock Mfg. Co. made a humble beginning in 1972 with the brand “RAMSON” in the field of locks. Founder Late K. L. Kumar, in his short span of life (1934–1976), gave Modern Lock Mfg. Co. the much-needed direction and impetus for the growth of the company. The mantle from the founder was carried by his three sons who, with their focused hard work and constant thrust for success, soon made RAMSON an Indian national brand. The company saw its first major evolution in 1984 with the establishment of Modern Manufacturer’s as its well-equipped manufacturing base, conforming the products to the highest standards. The expertise of the trading house enhanced the acceptability of products from the manufacturing facility, and the journey of progress and solidity continued. In less than a decade of becoming the largest producer of mortice locks in India, imports and exports were started in 1994, making RAMSON’s presence felt in the global arena and providing its growing Indian customer base with the luxury of international products. The quest of the third generation further stretched the graph of growth and expansion by bringing in Modern Allied Industries (MAI) in 2014, innovating and redefining security locks for metal doors, rolling shutters, drawers, cupboards, and various types of hardware products. Today, RAMSON is a household name providing locks and hardware marvels for millions of homes and commercial establishments in India and internationally too. Exceeding 3000 products and 10,000 outlets across the country, this remarkable story of growth and glory would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our patrons.
