Clemcos Big Clems incorporate the latest operator safety technology. The operator has complete control over air and abrasive flow with a fail-to-safe system initiated in an emergency by a dead man switch located at the nozzle.

10 Cuft Classic Blast Machines

High-performance, versatile blast cleaning system removes contamination, corrosion, mill scale, and coatings from most surfaces. Produces a uniform surface texture, and creates a surface profile to increase bonding for coatings.

Model 3661 holds 10 cubic feet of abrasive.

Climate Control Tube

The Clemco Climate Control Tube (CCT) allows the blast operator to cool or warm the incoming compressed air to a Clemco high-pressure Type CE continuous flow supplied-air respirator.

Requirements for Operation
20 cfm at 90 to 100 psi of Grade D quality breathing air as defined by the Compressed Gas Association Commodity Specification: G-7.1 (www.cganet.com)

Pressure requirements vary with hose length.
25 ft - 75 ft 90 psi
100 ft - 125 ft 95 psi
150 - 200 ft 100 psi
NOTE: Do not exceed 200 ft of respirator hose with this device.

Description of Operation:
The Climate Control Tube is placed between the breathing tube and the respirator hose.
A lever on the valve lets the operator adjust the temperature of the air entering the respirator by as much as 25 to 30 F warmer or cooler than ambient air.
The Climate Control Tube cannot be closed completely, so the operator always has at least the minimum required volume of air for breathing and to maintain positive pressure inside the helmet.
The Climate Control Tube comes with a belt that adjusts to fit up to a 54-inch waist.
The durable buckle can be fastened and unfastened with gloved hands.
A heat shield protects the operator from warm exhaust air (a byproduct of the production of cool air).

Cool Air Tube

The Clemco Cool Air Tube (CAT) allows the blast operator to control the temperature and volume of air to a Clemco high-pressure Type CE continuous flow supplied-air respirator within a preset range and to cool the air by as much as 50 F.

Requirements for Operation

Supa Blast Hose

Clemco Supa blast hose is standard equipment on all Contractor Series Blast Machines.
Supa hose is lighter and more flexible than 2-braid or 4-ply blast hose of the same ID.
It can be used with all common blast media. Supa hose achieves its lightness and flexibility from its slightly thinner outer casing. The inner tube is made from SBR rubber.

Description of Operation
Clemco Supa blast hose is fabricated to fit Clemco couplings and nozzle holders.
The blast hose inner diameter (ID) should be 3 to 4 times the size of the nozzle orifice and the same size as the nozzle entry diameter.
The hose ID should be the same size or larger than the machine piping.

For applications where heavier 2-braid or 4-ply blast are used (for their more durable outer casing) a 10 to 15 foot length of Supa hose can be connected as the last section before the nozzle.
This whip hose is easier for the operator to maneuver.

SURFACE ROUGHNESS COMPARATOR GRIT, SHOT

A precision nickel comparator plate which conforms to International Standard ISO 8503 for grit and shot blast surface roughness comparison measurement.
Comparators allow the estimation of surface roughness by touch and sight.
They are split into four sections, each with a different and defined roughness.
Comparators are available in both grit and shot blasted versions.
The grit version is split into sections equivalent to 25, 60, 100 and 150 microns.
The shot version is split into sections equivalent to 25, 40, 70 and 100 microns.

BLAST HELMET ASPECT
This very comfortable, lightweight and value-for-money helmet is suitable for any kind of abrasive blasting work.
The helmet is designed with a wide viewing window.
This is an important feature when the operators movement is limited,
e.g. in blasting rooms, while cleaning the internal surfaces of reservoirs, holds, etc.

Advantages
1. The robust, durable shell of the Aspect blast helmet ensures operator security and a long service life of the helmet, whilst an air baffle delivers a constant flow of air to the operators head and face to reduce fatigue, prevent misting and increase productivity and safety.
2. The top of the cape is protected from ricochet of blast material by an extended window frame
3. The embedding of media between the lenses is prevented by an integral 1-deep visor.
4. Easy closing of the window through a slot which aligns the closing latch and tab.
5. The cape is fixed to the bottom rim of the helmet via an adjustable ratchet buckle, which ensures a secure fit and easy replacement.
6. High operator visibility and security are provided by two lenses and a wire mesh screen.

Disposable lenses
In Aspect blast helmet disposable clear acetate lenses protected by a stainless steel wire mesh screen are used.
Disposable lenses can be exchanged in a matter of seconds, and are available in practical packs with 50pcs.

The frames are made from hot dip galvanized pressed sheet metal parts and stainless steel perimeter frame rails.
Front castor wheel and two big pneumatic wheels with brake for easy maneuvering and stable parking. One hook lifting eye.
