The filtration chambers of the filter presses with frames consist of two types of filter plates: frame and filtrating. The frame defines a filtration chamber and it is closed on both sides by the adjacent filtration plates with drainage draining filtrate. The thickness of the frame plate determines the thickness of the filtration cake it usually ranges between 10 50 mm. After passing clothes installed on the filtration plates, the filtrate is drained by drainage to channels drilled inside the plate and it is discharged out of the filter press. The working pressure usually ranges between 6 15 bars.
