We are offering magaldrate. Magaldrate is an antacid bulk drug. It is a hydrated complex of hydroxymagnesium aluminate. It initially reacts rapidly with acid and releases aluminum hydroxide which then reacts more slowly. The freshly released aluminum hydroxide is in the unpolymerized more reactive form. Thus, magaldrate can not be equated to a physical mixture of magnesium and aluminum hydroxides. It is a powerful antacid with prompt and sustained neutralizing action.
