Rugby Allied World Limited is a registered Limited Liability Company established on 29th of December, 2009 with the aim of exporting specialty foods such as Ginger, Garlic, Chilli Pepper, Mango, Coconut and Hibiscus flower. We are equally distributors of cosmetic products mainly (toiletries).

Hibiscus Flower (Rosa Sinensis) is a flowering plant containing several hundred species that are natural to warm-temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Member species are often noted for their showy flowers and are commonly known as hibiscus, sorrel and flor de Jamaica or less widely known as rosemallow. They are of the family of malvaceae. The flowers are large, conspicuous, and trumpet-shaped with five or more petals, ranging from white to pink, red, orange, purple or yellow and from 4-18cm broad.

Garlic serves as nutritional vegetable because of its antioxidant effect. Garlic nutrition has a positive effect on blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Its regular use also prevent atherosclerosis (thickening of the artery walls which may lead to stroke). Garlic consumption promotes Cardiovascular health that help lower blood pressure and improve circulation.

Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) which is found across the tropics is known for its great versatility as seen in the many domestic, commercial and industrial uses of its different parts. The dried copra is the edible “flesh” of the coconut. It provides a nutritious source of meat, juice, milk and oil that had feed and nourished populations around the world for generations. The oil and milk derived from it are commonly used in cooking and frying, and soaps and cosmetics production. The clear liquid, “coconut water” within is a refreshing drink. The coconut shell is used to make tableware such as bowls, serving tray, spoon or ladle and it also serves as a source of fuel. Coconut is a staple food in many islands; it is highly nutritious and rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. It is classified as a “functional food” because it provides many health benefits beyond its nutritional content. Coconut is also called by the islanders as “The Tree Of Life” because of its cure for all illnesses. Recently, modern medical science unlocked the secrets to coconut’s healing powers.

Ginger is rich in nutritional value to the body metabolism. Ginger contains volatile oil, which composes mainly of zingerone, shogaols, gingerols, citral and glutamic acid. Ginger also contains other elements needed by the human body such as protein, vitamin, carbohydrates, amino acid, phosphorus, iron, etc.

Fresh Polbano Pepper/Dried Anchochile A mild heart-shaped pepper that has thick walls, which make them great for stuffing. It is about 4 inches long and 21/2 inches wide. It is used in large quantity to add a deep rich flavour to chili creation. It is brownish-red to chocolate in colour when dried and it can be prepared into old bay seasoning. It has 2, 000 scoville units. Rocotillo Chile These chilies look like tiny bell peppers and they have black seeds. They have fruits flavour which can be spiced into Louisiana hot sauce. They have 2, 500 scoville units. Bird pepper /Thai Jalapeno They are small chilies which range in colour from red to green when fully mature, used in Asian curries and can be prepare into Louisiana hot sauce. They have 150, 000 scoville units. Chipotal Dried Jalapeno Peppers The name applies to a smoking process to dry them, hotter than the immature green pepper. Chipotals enhance and impart a wonderful smoky flavour. They have 8000 scoville units. Fresno Peppers Ripe red Fresno peppers are similar to Jalapenos in size and shape only that they are markedly hotter. They are used for dishes ceviches and salsa. They have 2500 scoville units. Finger Chili/Cayenne Pepper A wrinkled, very pungent thick fleshed fruit. It is about 6 inches long and 1 - ¼ inches in diameter. Used in Cajun recipes, sauces, dried, pickled or in salsas. It can be prepared into crushed red pepper flakes. It has about 60, 000 scoville units.
