Biomedical waste is generated from hospitals and animal houses and mainly consists of: • Human Anatomical Waste. • Microbiology & Biotechnology Waste. • Discarded Medicines & Cytotoxic Drugs. • Soiled plaster castes, blood soaked cotton, beddings etc. • Wastes from pathological laboratories and blood banks. • Animal wastes & carcasses.
