The shell is thicker than in the case of the peanuts types but thinner than that of the bold types. The kernels are big in size, round in shape and are covered with light, red/Pinkish-coloured skin.

The kernels are Long, larger than those of the Java types and covered with light red-coloured skins which speedily darken. Peanut shells are used in the manufacture of plastic, wallboard, abrasives, fuel, cellulose (used in rayon and paper) and mucilage (glue).
