• SPRING SYSTEM DRIVE UNIT shall comprise an active end plug including torque shaft & flag pawls, incorporating four orthogonal stop positions. The drive spring shall be of hard drawn oil tempered steel wire to AS1472, Range 2. The spring is kept in a slightly stretched condition by the support tube which eliminates friction between the support tube & inside of the sprain helps to minimise snaking of the spring as the motor is tensioned. This also provides a powerful responsive action without jerking due to coil binding in the motor. The whole motor is made of stronger spring design to eliminate failure due to overstressing.
• DIFFERENT MOTOR SIZES cater for the various window sizes to provide optimum operation of the shade.
• SPRING SYSTEM IDLER PLUG shall be of molded engineering plastic with a Zinc plated case hardened steel location pin. The plug shall be inserted into the tube end.
• SPRING SYSTEM SUPPORT BRACKETS shall be Zinc plated steel & used in right hand or left hand positions. Each bracket shall incorporate an integral jump-stop to prevent the shade lifting from the bracket during raising. A range of brackets shall be provided to cater for recess, top & face mounting of the shades.
• CHAIN SYSTEM DRIVE UNIT shall be of molded plastic with steel rectangular support pin & inserted into the tube end. It shall be driven by a ball chain pulley with ball chain & can be positioned at right hand or left hand side of the shade. The shade, when lowering or raising, shall be automatically locked in position upon release of the ball chain by means of a built in friction lock.
• CHAIN SYSTEM IDLER PLUG shall be of molded plastic with a steel location pin. The plug shall be inserted into the tube end.
• CHAIN SYSTEM SUPPORT BRACKETS shall be of molded plastic & used in right hand or left hand positions differentiated by the acceptance of the rectangular drive unit support or the round idler plug pin.
• ROLLER TUBES shall be roll-formed and lock-seamed steel of 0.43mm thickness suitably protected against corrosion and shall incorporate a keyway integral with the tube to accommodate the spline. The outside diameter of the roller tube shall be 25mm, 28mm or 38mm depending upon the application.
• BOTTOM RAIL shall be a stiffening element inserted into a bottom rod pocket with the ability to pull down the shade at the centre. The material may be timber, or P.V.C. covered steel tube.
• CORD PULL shall be provided and screwed to the bottom lath to aid in the operation of the shade.
• BALLCHAIN shall be 2mm diameter cord with 4.5mm diameter acetel balls molded coaxially to it on 11.8mm pitch to form an endless ball chain. It is used for raising or lowering action of the shades.
