The tension infiltrometer measures the hydraulic properties of unsaturated soil. Water held under tension infiltrates into a dry soil through a highly permeable nylon membrane. The time dependent infiltration rate is used to calculate unsaturated hydraulic conductivities and related hydraulic properties. Infiltration rates are recorded manually.

The (agricultural) soil test kits offer simplified methods for determination of available nutrients found in agricultural soils. A series of rapid, accurate chemical tests use standardized reagents to produce color reactions measured against laminated color charts. Colorimetric test methods are used for most test factors. Some tests are based on turbidity measurements. A single extraction procedure (We recommend our water samplers for obtaining soil water samples from root zones) provides the liquid soil extract for all the nutrient tests. Soil pH is determined colorimetrically, covering the range of pH 3.8 to 9.6. Complete reagent refill packages are available for each outfit. All kits outfits are furnished in lightweight carrying cases with components securely mounted.

The soil column cylinder auger has been developed to take undisturbed soil samples. This allows a fast insight in the build-up of the soil profile, the possibilities for a root system, etc. The more insight in these matters, the more effective fertilization and treatment of the soil can be done. Applying this system it is possible to take undisturbed samples with a length of 100 cm and a diameter of 90 mm, without digging a profile pit. The soil column cylinder auger is hammered into the soil applying a gasoline driven mechanical hammer (on special request an electrical driven hammer). The cylinder has a removable side cover, among other things, for checking andor for sub-sampling of the soil column.

The ring infiltrometer may be used for determining the rate of infiltration and capacity for irrigation and drainage projects, studying drainage, determining the intensity of artificial precipitation and the effect of treatment of the soil. As vertically infiltrated water runs away to the sides, the outer ring of the infiltrometer serves as a separation. The measurements exclusively take place in the inner ring through which the water runs virtually vertical.
