Trimop along with UVA (PUVA) penetrates the skin and causes cell injury. Trimop along with UVA (PUVA) penetrates the skin and increase melanization of the epidermis, and thickening of the stratum corneum. In the treatment of VITILIGO, it has been suggested that metanocytes in the hair follicle are stimulated to move up the follicle and to repopulate the epidermis.

Sunlight: Initial exposure time should not exceed fifteen minutes for light skin colors, twenty minutes for medium skin colors, or twenty-five minutes for dark skin colors; exposure time may subsequently be increased by five minutes each treatment, depending upon degree of erythema and tenderness.
