Pulley Lagging is essential to improve the performance of conveyor belt. It helps reduce the belt slippage, improves tracking and increases life of the belt bearing and also other components. Pulley is located at the discharge terminus of the conveyor. It provides the driving force for the conveyor.

Rubber LaggingP.R.I can supply pulleys with hot vulcanized rubber lagging, plain or grooved, as required by client. Different patterns of grooving such as herringbone or diamond can be provided to increase tractive friction under dirty or wet conditions. Diamond grooves have the advantage of being installed in any orientation, regardless of belt direction.

Ceramic Lagging
P.R.Is Ceramic Lagging of Pulley is especially suited for pulleys with slippage and excessive wear and tear problems which make the normal rubber lagging less effective. Ceramic pulley lagging is widely used on the drive pulleys and also could be used on snub, bend and tail pulleys. Ceramic lagging has many positive attributes. The reasons to apply ceramic lagging for driven or non-drive pulleys are various like, to increase friction between the belt and drive pulley lagging in wet or variable conditions, to eliminate bodily slip between the belt and drive pulley and to eliminate lagging wear for driven or non-drive pulleys.

They are designed to enlarge the loading chute function. They adapt perfectly as an extension of the loading chute and they continue doing the work avoiding spillages of material at the sides. The rubber skirts placed along the frame of galvanized metal sheets are in permanent and direct contact with the belt being water and dust tight.

They are also placed as reception chutes when in the same conveyor is necessary to have intermediate feeding points.

This skirt offers a dual sealing solution for your conveyor. The main body of the skirt is manufactured from rubber, which offers the primary sealing surface. The rubber body is adjusted against the belt as with traditional rubber skirt. A flexible rubber strip with polyurethane wear rail at its end and is moulded to the side of the main body and contacts the belt. This is the secondary sealing surface. By utilizing the low cost rubber in the body and high performance polyurethane in the second sealing surface only, cost is minimized and performance is maximized.

For reliable and simple maintenance conveyor belt alignment, durable rubber discs are positioned at regular intervals along the conveyor belt to effectively eliminate conveyor roller build up by breaking up the carried material which is normally in the centre of the belt. The rubber discs are bunched together at both ends of the idler to provide support and protection to the belt edges. The ideal environment for the Rubber Disc is wet sticky or abrasive applications where the material conveyed sticks to the belt surface. The rubber discs avoid the build of material that can be deposited onto the roller surface, causing the roller diameter to form an irregular and changing shape.

In order to control miss-tracking effectively, tracker rollers are required to be installed on returns as well on the carrying side of the belt. The return side does the main tracking function as the total belt width is in contact with the roller. In conveyor belt systems, a variety of different reasons often leads to unforeseen mistracking of the belt.

Rubber Lining is the skilled application of unvulcanized and vulcanized rubber sheets to prepared metal surfaces. The principal benefits of rubber lining are its excellent resistance to corrosive and abrasive chemicals and materials, e.g. acids, alkalis, salt water, slurries, sand, shot blast media, crushed rock etc. In addition rubber linings provide other benefits including noise and vibration reduction, electrical and thermal insulation and product protection.

Additionally, our fully trained engineers are also able to inspect and survey existing rubber lined plant. Engineers can detect any defect in the rubber lining by conducting a spark test. If a defect is present, voltage applied across the linings surface will continue through and discharge onto the steel causing a spark. Defects as small as pin holes can be detected using this method. However, one of the great advantages of rubber lining is the option to remove it once it has reached the end of its useful life. Instead of replacing large items of plant and whole piping systems a new rubber lining can be installed on-site; making it much more cost effective and helping to minimise down time and production disruption.

Rubber sheets are available in both unvulcanised and vulcanised form, for application at site.

These sheets are manufactured in a standard width of 1 meter and lengths upto 10 meters. Thickness varies from 1mm to 6mm for typical corrosion resistant lining applications. However the thickness can be increased as per the requirements.

These liners are suitable for applications in areas of severe impact and areas of high abrasion. Liners can be supplied to incorporate a variety of ceramic shapes, including balls, cylinders and cubes, all of which have a high alumina silica content that withstands severe impact and high abrasion.

Our Rubber Ceramic liners are very effective against severe impact and abrasion. The ceramic is securely bonded into the rubber so that they do not become dislodged. The rubber absorbs the impact to keep the ceramic from shattering. A wide variety of ceramics shapes are used based on the application.

Aluminium oxide ceramics Al2O3 has a very high wear resistance; on hardness scale it can be placed right after diamond.To withstand shocks while operating, ceramic liners are vulcanized into a quality rubber keeping the liners together and smoothing out shocks.

Vulcanized in this way, the liners have a high wear resistance, reduce expenses and operating delays, have excellent sliding features and reduce the noise up to 50 db. Such liners can be glued directly onto a metal surface on the spot. Or they can be delivered after being vulcanized on a metal liner to be screwed.
