From the lap of mother nature, We the members of Prakruthi Girijana Mahila Okkuta proudly present Prakruthi Food Products. We are located at Jagankote Hadi, HD Kote taluk of Mysore. We are being incubated by Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) as part of their social business incubation initiative. GRAAM has been facilitating us in establishing this unit with utmost efficiency and social commitment. They have allocated an experienced and well-equipped team to nurture (set up, train, market) and create a self sustainable business model with active involvement of the tribal women in every process. Involvement of an esteemed institution like CFTRI as our technical and knowledge partner has helped in setting a high benchmark for quality and hygiene in every step of the activity. Close proximity of processing units and the harvesting fields have helped the women to have a close monitoring of fields and processing units with care. This has created employment opportunities, better socio-economic conditions and an overall empowerment of the women and community in the tribal region. Ragi being our major crop. We intend to sow the richness and the many goodness of this super millet across the nation and world with relevant knowledge on latest quality processing and packing inputs from CFTRI.
