Rubber O-ring, also known as a toric joint, is a mechanical gasket in the shape of a torus with a round cross-section, designed to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more parts, creating a seal at the interface. Rubber O-ring may be used in static applications or in dynamic applications where there is relative motion between the parts and the O-ring.
Wiper Seal is an axial seal used to create a tight fit whilst still allowing a reciprocating ram rod to pass through the inner bore of the seal. The primary is of wiper seal is to prevent dust, debris and moisture entering the gland housing of sealing system and damaging the pressure seals of a fluid system as reciprocating or rotating parts move, with expensive or even dangerous results.
Rubber sucker is the product used to create the negative fluid pressure of air or water to adhere to nonporous surfaces, creating a partial vacuum. The working face of the suction cup is made of elastic, flexible material and has a curved surface.
Rubber buffers are robust and effective elastic cushioning elements and shock absorbers. These buffers are ideal for elastic travel limitation and cushioning knocks by mobile and immobile aggregates and machines. The rubber buffers can also be used in machinery as a limiting element against any extreme oscillations for instance with the shifting of the resonance frequency or as part of a flexible guide rail. It is used to dampen of all types of drops, impact shocks and stopping mechanisms. The buffers absorb the kinetic energy so that the shock from the impact is minimized.
Rubber diaphragm is a flexible membrane that seals and isolates an enclosure. The flexible nature of this seal allows pressure effects to cross the barrier but not the material being contained. Common uses for diaphragm seals are to protect pressure sensors from the fluid whose pressure is being measured.
The packing set comprises of a V-ring firmly supported by a rubber ring. When system pressure is applied, the sealing force is increased significantly because of the rubber ring exerting pressure on the V-ring. It is used in low pressure hydraulic presses.
