• Used in place of single stage compressors
• Lubricated with oil
• Compressed air discharged from the compressor
• Contain traces of oil without lubrication of the cylinders
• Filter the discharged air to remove the oil
• Use of compressor with dry cylinders & Teflon/graphite piston rings
