My Journey to Dhãran
I am a textile artist; did my Masters in Drawing & Painting, from Allahabad University, further pursued Post Graduation in Textile Designing from Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur. Worked in various organisation at different capacity in textile designer for more than 15 years. My experience encompasses working with fashion designer to being a professor. To update my experience & exposure in 2016 pursued Study abroad semester in Product Fashion Design at London College of Fashion, UK.
I excel at blending of art with design; my knowledge drives my aesthetic sense; my passion endeavors quality & detailing. My forte lies in textures on textiles with different mediums.
Oct 2015, co-founded Dhãran, a hand crafted garments studio, conscious clothing line, ready to wear prêt collection, celebrating the traditional textile crafts with a sustainable approach.

Creating Livelihood Sustainably
The word Dhãran is from hindi language धारण means to adorn, a garment or an accessory that makes you feel special, desired to wear. We at Dharan are constantly working on to bring forward the beautiful journey of crafts and converting these into products with essence of fashion. We work with local resources to create collections for global market, creating livelihood for artisans sustainably. Our design studio works on a complete style look, where we create coordinating garments involving various other crafts like metal jeweler, glass bangles, handmade footwear, patwa, beadwork, etc. We create contemporary garments using traditional skills. Our inspiration is traditional Indian textiles that had an essence of crafts and luxurious-styling, our collection is based on Indian festivals, occasions and seasons.
