EDTA Trisodium Salt is a salt of ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid, used as a chelating agent with ability to sequester various polyvalent cations. It is used to minimize metal ion contaminants, and to facilitate enzymatic reactions that could be inhibited by heavy metal traces.
