Melt Flow Index Apparatus is used for determination of the Melt Flow Index of Polythene compounds. It is suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, Single phase, AC supply.
The apparatus consists of a metallic cylinder, fitted with heating elements and enclosed in a metallic chamber. A piston and two weights are provided to facilitate the measurement of the flow index property. An automatic thermal control unit provided helps to regulate the uniform and slow heating of the sample.
