this lamp is a work of art. It has one of the most elaborate etches i've seen on a fluorescent lamp, and has a sticker on the end cap to encourage proper recycling. Note the cathode guards and the nice electrode construction. There is also a small tube which I think is the amalgam reservoir, but I have never seen one used on a linear fluorescent lamp. First time I used it, I observed striations for a few seconds, and it was a bit dim in the center (yes I viewed it behind glass for safety) but now it starts up like all my regular f15t8.
