Precision CNC Swiss Screw Machining

Swiss Screw machine is a bit of misnomer in that many products other than screws are produced using this method. At Telemark the CNC Swiss method includes 7 axis machining with combined turning and milling in the same machine. This method proves to be more precise then conventional machining and often results in a reduction in cycle time and a savings to our customers. The above precision stainless steel pin was produced for the US NAVY, complete on a single machine with a single operation and we held the tolerance of +-0.0001” for over 8,000 parts. No need for secondary feed grinding.
