• The apparatus comprises of a slump cone with foot pieces fitted on a base with wing bolts.
• A swivel carrying handle fitted with the base also serves as a datum for measuring the slump, when moved into vertical position perpendicular to the base.
• A graduated tamping rod is used both for compacting the specimen as well as measuring the slump of concrete.
