Steel Flat Head Shoulder Rivet

A furniture industry customer in the Southern United States needed a project that required high volume cold heading to create this steel flat head shoulder rivet. Used in a furniture application the customer's specifications called out the use of C1008 steel, with a natural finish.
The rivets measured .650" in length, with an outside head diameter of .610", and had to meet tolerances of ±.001", along with a circular runout of .010".
Manufacturing was performed on our 516" National, one die, two blow cold header. This high speed capability allows us to produce such product in orders of 25 million, while maintaining all of the customer's specifications for size and tolerances.
