The nozzles used for the systems have protective rubber grease caps that blow off during an agent discharge. For instance, exhaust fans within the kitchen canopies, protected with such systems, should always be switched on before using appliances in the kitchen to ensure that the normal temperature increase from the cooking appliances does not build up within the plenum.
