Molecular Sieve XH-7 is an alkali alumino silicate. It is the potassium form of the molecular sieve type A and has an effective pore opening of about 3 angstroms (0.3 nm).
Typical Chemical Formula : 0.45 K₂O – 0.55Na₂O Al₂O₃ -2SiO₂ - nH₂O
Applications in Refrigerants :

• Static (non regenerative) removal of H2O and volatile organic vapours from gas filled insulating glass units, Sulphur Hexafluoride and from refrigerant gases (having extensive use in refrigeration & air conditioning) especially R-134a (1,1,1,-Tetrafluoroethane) etc.
• Molecular Sieve XH-7 will adsorb molecules with a kinetic diameter of less than 0.3 nm and exclude those larger.
