Stainless steel is a form of steel containing chromium, which is resistant to tarnishing and rust. Ideally suited for many automotive and marine applications because stainless is tolerant of heat and virtually impervious to rust and corrosion. Washers are most commonly made for preventing rust formation on automotive parts also known as SUS.
Our polyester washers and nylon washers are typically used to distribute the pressure of threaded fasteners such as nuts and bolts. Polyester washers may also be used to provide a sound surface for nuts and bolts to be secured on, or to lock and seal them in position.
Epoxy [glass] resin based washers offer a wide range of performance characteristics such as wear resistance and mechanical strength. Epoxy Glass Washers or Spacers also yield very good electrical properties in dry and humid conditions.
