Inconel 625 Hexagonal Nipple is developed for high temperature strength, where its highly alloyed composition provides a high level of general corrosion resistance. Studies were therefore conducted to test the metal’s weldability, tensile strength and creep resistance, and Alloy 625 One End Threaded Nipple was found to be an ideal choice for welding. Inconel 625 Bothe End Threaded Nipple is often used in exhaust ducts for Navy utility boats, submarine transducer controls, steam – line bellows and sheathing for undersea communication cables. Inconel 625 Concentric HEX Nipple resists a wide range of severely corrosive environments and is especially resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Inconel 625 Eccentric HEX Nipple is immune to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking and is resistant to caustics. Alloy 625 Hexagonal Reducing Nipple derives much of its strength from the addition of molybdenum and columbium. The chemical composition of Alloy 625 Hexagonal Nipple is also responsible for its outstanding corrosion resistance in a variety of severe operating environments along with resistance to oxidation and carburization in high temperature service.
