The National Building Code of India governs residential commercial, educational, and industrial buildings. In Maharashtra, the NBC certificate is issued by Public Works Department of Maharashtra.   Some of the pre-requisites to be fulfilled in this case is proper provisions for lighting inside the premises, design of seating spaces, play rooms, washrooms, pantry, sick room, and offices for non-teaching and teaching staff.
