Direct Evaporative Cooling Units

The indirect cooling module (ICM) is a pre-cooler used in 2-Stage or IndirectDirect evaporative cooling. The ICM cools the air without adding any additional moisture. It accomplishes this by circulating water through a sensible heat exchanger, while a fan draws air through the heat exchanger. This air and water are cooled by evaporation and in turn cool the walls of the heat exchanger. The removed heat is exhausted from the unit with the moist air. Hot, dry outside air is pulled horizontally through the cooled walls of the heat exchanger by the attached evaporative cooler. This air is cooled and since it does not come in contact water, there is no moisture added. The dry-air cooled by the ICM is then cooled further by the direct evaporative cooler. The dry bulb temperature of the air after going past the ICM drops as does the wet bulb or saturation temperature. This cooled dry air from the ICM is pulled through wet evaporative media in the direct evaporative cooler which cools the air and adds moisture. In a design summer ambient conditions, the IDEC can lower the incoming air temperature below the existing ambient wet bulb conditions.

Double-skin Evaporative Cooling Units

Double skin construction suitable for outdoor installation. The casing panels shall be made of pre-painted steel sheet externally & plain GSS sheet internally injected with CFC free sandwich PUF material 40 kgm3 density which is non-combustible in nature. The framework shall be made of GSS Aluminum Anodized hollow sheet-steel profiles and PVC corner connections. Suitable airtight access doorspanel with nylon hinges and lock shall be provided for access to various sections for maintenance. Access door shall be double skin construction. The entire housing shall be mounted on heavy-duty channel base frame with anti vibration mounts.

Single-skin Evaporative Cooling Units

As the name implies, Evaporative Cooling works by evaporating water in the air stream. In order for the water to evaporate, the water must absorb heat. Hence, evaporative cooling involves heat & mass transfer which occurs when water and unsaturated air come in contact, and no heat is added to or removed from the system.

You will open up your roof to the sky, but we arrange to keep out the sun and GRAVENTS gives free passage to hot air, smoke, fumes etc. (solid arrows) to leave the building irrespective of weather conditions or wind direction. Controllable perforated Colt Shadometal louvres were specified by Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners which cover the complete West facade of the A500 Airside Center. The control system adjusts the position of the louvres in response to changing climatic conditions and available daylight. Colt offer two external solar shading systems within the Shadometal range: Solar C is a fixed solar shading system as Brise Soleil that may be installed either horizontally or vertically onto the building faade or roof. Solarfin, is a system of fixed or controllable fins offering greater design flexibility. When linked to a sun tracking controller, Solarfin can offer the most effective degree of solar control without compromising light levels on dull days. Colt offer two external solar shading systems within the Shadometal range: Solar C is a fixed solar shading system as Brise Soleil that may be installed either horizontally or vertically onto the building faade or roof.
