What is Capacitance Level Transmitter?
Capacitance Level Transmitter is the type of transmitter that operates like a capacitor. These capacitors consist of two conductive plates which are separated by the medium called as insulating material having dielectric constant. The insulated electrode acts as the first plate and the other plate comprises a tank wall or reference electrode.
Working Principle Their working depends upon the principle of change of capacitance. The capacitance depends upon the variety of fluid level such as aqueous and organic liquids, solids, slurries, powders, granular material, etc.
The output is 4-20mA, 4 wire connections for isolated supply & 3 wires for non isolated supply. 2 wire loop powered output is also available. The tank empty (4mA) & Full (20mA) calibration is through easy field calibration button in case of 4 wire & 3 wire. For 2 wires it is through multi turn trimpot. Rigid probe is offered for tank depth upto 3 mtr & Flexible probe upto 15mtr. Capacitance Level Transmitter is available with different mounting arrangement to suit customer requirement. It is widely used for water, diesel, oil and chemical application.

Model LV36 Hydrostatic liquid level transducers and transmitters with flush diaphragm is designed for a wide variety of level measurement applications. This model pressure sensor and is protected by the stainless steel (SS) housing. Featuring the flush diaphragm makes the LV36 suitable to measure viscous media or media with small particles, so as to have diverse measurement applications.The standard reference pressure is gauge (or relative) pressure realized through a vent tube in the cable. Fuel level sensoris a low cost capacitance type level sensor. It is designed for monitoring levels in fuel tanks of vehicles, Bulk storage tanks fitted on vehicles, diesel storage tanks. The Design is simple & light weight. It measures the level accurately and reliably. The sensor output is connected to vehicle monitoring and tracking system or level indicators. The sensor consists of measuring probe which is encircled with a reference probe. This given more linear output and is not affected by turbulence inside the tank. Fuel Level Sensor As the fuel level increases, the capacitance value also increases. The fuel acts as the dielectric between electrodes. The increase in capacitance directly proportional to increase in fuel level. This change in capacitance is measured and converted into 4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V, RS485 O/P.
Percentage Level Indicator is used to know the level of liquid in storage or process tank. The unit consist of a Percentage Level Sensor mounted inside the tank & a Digital Level Indicator mounted in control room or pump room or user accessible area.
Sensor
The Percentage Level Sensor is a Magnetic Float Operated Level Sensor with ten set point with each set point equal to 10% of the tank depth. The sensor gives variable resistance output from zero U to 2.5k U. for each set point the output resistance will increase by 250 U.
Pump ON & OFF is provide in two modes :
Auto / Manual selector switch is provided for manual intervention. Similarly Alarm is between Low & High Level which is field selectable between ten steps. Digital Level Indicator also provides optional 4-20mA output. It is very useful for Water Sumps, Overhead Tanks, Diesel Storage Tanks, Diesel Day Oil Tanks, Oil Tanks, Chemical Tanks, Storage Tanks Etc.
Indicator
Digital Level Indicator is a microcontroller bases electronic unit for display of level in percentage. The level is displayed as 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, …………80%, 90% & 100%. The display is through Seven Segment bright LED display. The unit is connected to Percentage Level Indicator supplied by us. Digital Level Indicator comes with a unique feature of Dual option of Pump control Or Alarm facility. The unit can be used to either switch ON & OFF the pump or provide High & Low Level Alarm by selecting suitable DIP Switch.

Liquid Level Controller (APC-1) is used to automatically start & stop the pump for filling the tank or emptying the tank with alarm indication With liquid level inputs from the Magnetic Float Switch fitted in the sump and over head tank, (APC-1) controller can be used for PUMP UP or PUMP DOWN operation. Alarm relay is provided to indicate abnormality in the process like liquid level raised beyond high level setting or drops below low level setting in the Overhead or sump tanks.
