In many applications, particularly for large pressure vessels designed for high temperature and pressure, titanium or zirconium clad steel construction can be very economical compared to solid construction. Clad should be more economical than solid construction where wall thickness is in excess of 3/4 to 1-1/4 inches in titanium and 5/8 to ¾ inch in zirconium. We manufactures titanium pipe spools 6” and below from both seamless (ASTM B-861) and welded (ASTM B-862) pipe, typically in schedules 10s, 40s, and 80s. We manufactures sizes 8” and by rolling and welding annealed titanium plate (ASTM B-265) with 100% x-ray (RT) and penetrant testing (PT). Final hydrostatic test is performed when individual titanium pipe spool is complete.
