V-Belts are friction based power or torque transmitters. The power is transmitted from one pulley to the other by means of the friction between the belt and pulley. The rubber used as the base material plays a very vital role in this. This is quite similar to the friction between the tyre and road in the automobiles that enables the automobiles to move on the road. The V-Belt is called so because of its cross section. Drum pulleys are power transmission components used in conveyor and bulk handling applications. Heavy duty drum pulleys meet or exceed Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA) standards for use with belts rated up to 750 pounds per inch of width (PIW). In addition to the category, drum pulleys may be divided into four basic types: motorized, idler, spiral, and wing. Motorized drum pulleys, as their name suggests, are powered products. By contrast, idler drum pulleys are non-powered.

All gearing is case hardened for optimum wear resistance, with pitches selected for maximum strength and finish hobbed or ground for accuracy and quiet running.
