Electrolysis is a technique of the passage of electricity through effluent to be treated. The current destabilises dissolved colloidal particles and alters the charge on suspended particles permitting their coagulation, floatation and separation.
Special Features of the Process:
Functions Of Electrolytic Process:
Removes:
A conical filter device inserts into a duct having flow passing from upstream to downstream. The pre-condition water with the matured dosages of co-agulant such as alum, ferric clorideshall be pumped into conical filtration system for removal of high suspended solids present in the raw water. The sludge along with rejected water shall be collected in the sludge drying bed by gravity where it can be separated and disposed manually otherwise filter press also can be used to handle rejected water. The reject water shall be re-circulated pump to get higher efficiency.
HYDRO PNEUMATIC PRESSURE BOOSTER SYSTEM consists of an automatic pressure controlled pump and pressure tank, which contain an air filled polyether-urethane (PEU) bladder. The water gets pumped in this tank that compresses it and pressurizes the bladder, which in turn maintains the desired pressure within the whole water piping and fixtures.
The method of reducing stating current and inverter loading is to vary motor speed. Centrifugal pumps follow a set of physical laws known as laws of affinity. One of them states that states that the power required to run a pump varies as a cube of any change in speed. If one reduces the normal running speed of 1 HP Pump by 50% only 1/8 HP is required to run it at the lower speed. Even a reductions result is substantial power reduction.
An AC electric motors speed is varied by changing the frequency of the power supply. AC power in the US is supplied at 60 Hz. With a device known as a variable frequency drive, the supply frequency can be varied 0 to 60 Hz. By starting the motor at lower frequency and ramping up to full speed over a period of a second or so, starting current is greatly reduced. Another advantage of this controlled pump is that their speeds can be controlled automatically to provide constant pressure during varying flow conditions. A simple pressure transducer, connected to the VFD, monitor pump discharge pressure & varies motor speed, thus maintaining pressure as demand varies in addition to providing nearly constant reducing the pump when demand decrease.
Think of the perfect swimming pool and visions of sparkling water and happy swimmers likely dance in your head. Keeping this scene intact involves taking the proper steps to sanitize the pool and prevent any health or aesthetic problems. The water will then remain clear of algae, free of disease causing pathogens and users wont complain about red eyes or chlorine smell.
To keep this intention in our mind SHIVAM has provided you following solutions to keep your swimming pool clean:
For swimming pool filtration first we use sand filter to remove smallest debris and sediments from your water which comes in pool through human contact and other modes like rain and air. Basically, water flows into the top of the filter housing and makes its way down through the sand bed where the sharp edges of the sand catch the dirt. Sand filters certainly are efficient enough to keep just about any pool clean if we provide it maintenance properly .Maintenance means backwashing where the flow of clean water is reversed back into the filter.
To enhance the filtration, we normally use Alum and /or poly electrolyte in the feed to the sand filters.
Flocculation is the agglomeration of destabilized particles into microfloc and after into bulky floccules which can be settled which are popularly called as floc. The addition of another reagent called flocculant or a flocculant aid may promote the formation of the floc.

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a pressure-driven barrier to suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, endotoxins and other pathogens to produce water with very high purity and low silt density. Typically, ultrafiltration will remove high molecular-weight substances, colloidal materials, silt (SDI), and organic and inorganic polymeric molecules. It serves as a pretreatment for surface water, seawater, and biologically treated municipal effluent before reverse osmosis and other membrane systems. SHIVAMs Ultrafiltration is a separation process using membranes with pore sizes in the range of 0.1 to 0.001 micron.
We manufacture and provide demineralization or deionization plants for removing mineral salts from water by using the ion exchange process. Our DM plants are available in different sizes and materials, manually operated or fully Automatic, & ready to install & are available as standard models or custom built versions for specific needs.
Alkalinity in water is present in four different forms - Dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2), Bicarbonate (HCO3), Carbonate (CO3) and Hydroxyl (OH).
When raw water has high alkalinity, even after softening, causes foaming and carryover of solids that leads to embattlement of boiler steel. The decomposition of bicarbonates due to heat produces CO2, which causes corrosion.
Alkalinity needs to be removed and monitored to prevent scale and corrosion to minimize total operating costs.
Following Ion exchange processes can be used for reducing alkalinity.
Aqua - Air - Zone works by oxidation. Ozone is a high energy and very unstable molecule composed of three oxygen atoms (O3). The extra atom of oxygen attempts to recombine any things in its path in order to stabilise. When it comes in contact with contaminants such as Bacteria, Virus, or Organic Waste Materials Ozone acts as an oxidizer. Ozone is the strongest oxidizer commercially available.
Basic Principle:-Because ozone is a high energy molecule, as soon as it comes in contact with organic matter the third oxygen atom detaches itself and combines with the contaminants in an oxidization reaction.
Rotating biological contactors (RBCs) is a remediation technology used in the secondary treatment of wastewater.
This technology involves allowing wastewater to come in contact with a biological medium in order to facilitate the removal of contaminants. There are several different designs now available, but in its simplest form a rotary biological contactor (RBCs) consists of a series of discs mounted on a shaft, which is driven so that the discs rotate at right angles to the flow of settled sewage.
These rotating biological contactors offer many advantages like:
Wastewater treatment plants of a medium or small scale require a simple equipment composition and easy maintenance. The Moving-Bed type bioreactor has largely simplified the washing mechanism by washing filtering media parallel to the reactor processing.
The Shivam MBBR is a variant of submerged aerated filter technology. It provides a small footprint solution for carbonaceous, nitrification, C+N or in anoxic mode for de-nitrification treatment with very low capital and operating costs together with a low head loss.
The MBBR can be designed as a small footprint process solution for a new works, or as a retro-fit to an existing activated sludge plant to increase capacity and improve effluent quality. It can also be operated in applications of high ammonia concentration such as sludge liquor treatment or leachate treatment - with the continuously moving bed format in order to provide the oxygenation required for the higher load.
Sequencing batch reactors (SBR) or sequential batch reactors are industrial processing tanks for the treatment of wastewater. SBR reactors treat biosolids, sewage, sludge or other output from aerobic or anaerobic digesters in "batches."
The Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) cleans the wastewater in one or more batch reactors according to a predetermined sequence of operations. The system performs equalization, aeration and clarification in a single batch reactor.
Usually the Pipelife SBR system consists of at least two tanks. In this kind of configuration the first tank the settlement tank is used to retain the non-solvent particles. Because of their physical characteristics the non-solvent particles are discarded at the bottom of the settlement tank. The rest of the wastewater is conveyed to the second reactor by the pump on the reactor unit the Swimmer Unit into the second tank the SBR.
Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) is the most widely used high rate anaerobic system for anaerobic sewage treatment.
The influent is introduced at the bottom. It passes through blanket of the sludge before leaving the reactor. The sludge blanket mainly consists of inorganic particle with anaerobic bio-mass grown around it. Sludge blanket acts as a filter and helps in removing suspended solids. COD reduction takes by substrate reduction by bio-mass.
Primary sedimentation is not required prior to UASB as inorganic particles itself are used as media in blanket formation. The treated wastewater is collected at the top of reactor. Bio-gas produced during the degradation is collected at top.
An expanded granular sludge bed (EGSB) reactor is a variant of the UASB concept. The distinguishing feature is that a faster rate of upward-flow velocity is designed for the wastewater passing through the sludge bed. The increased flux permits partial expansion (fluidization) of the granular sludge bed, improving wastewater-sludge contact as well as enhancing segregation of small inactive suspended particle from the sludge bed. The increased flow velocity is either accomplished by utilizing tall reactors, or by incorporating an effluent recycle (or both). A scheme depicting the EGSB design concept is shown in Fig.
The EGSB design is appropriate for low strength soluble wastewaters or for wastewaters that contain inert or poorly biodegradable suspended particles which should not be allowed to accumulate in the sludge bed.
Package plants are prefabricated units designed for wastewater treatment that can be brought to a site and installed. These units are most widely used to treat waste water and removal of turbidity, color, and coli form organisms with filtration processes.
The package plants will include auxiliary equipment such as pumps and filters needed for operation. Package plants are usually larger and more complex than the systems described as alternative treatment. However, for larger flows or complex wastewaters, they may be more effective. They may also take up less space. They require more operator attention and higher-level operator training and commitment.
Package plants are pre-manufactured treatment facilities used to treat wastewater in small communities or on individual properties. According to manufacturers, package plants can be designed to treat flows as low as 10 KLD vor as high as 500 KLD.
We offer complete skid & truck mounted or containerized plant for the production of drinking or process water from the wastewater itself.
The system have in-built diesel and kerosene generator with prime moving arrangement to lift water from deep bore well and river. Treated water quality meets WHO standards for drinking water standard.
Electrodeionisation or EDI, is a continuous and chemical-free process of removing ionized and ionizable species from the feed water using DC power. EDI is typically used to polish reverse osmosis (RO) permeate and to replace conventional mixed bed ion exchange, which eliminates the need to store and handle hazardous chemicals used for resin regeneration and associated waste neutralization requirements.
The advanced oxidation process (AOP) is successfully used to decompose many hazardous chemical compounds to acceptable levels, without producing additional hazardous by-products or sludge which require further handling. Advanced Oxidation Process enhances the efficiency of ozone by producing hydroxyl radical. "AOP" system is more effective & uses less ozone as compared to conventional ozone treatment. We use ozone in presence of a catalyst to treat large flow-rates of wastewater to control Color, Biological oxygen demand, Chemical oxygen demand, Fats, oils & grease etc and the treated water can be recycled.
