Principles of Operation

The grinding operation inShri Krishna Roller Millsis performed on the principal of Attrition and compression, which results due to the centrifugal force generated from the suspended rollers running inside a stationary Bull Ring.

The material to be grind enters the grinding chamber through an automatic feeder and falls on the mills floor. There it is scooped up by steel into the nip space between the rollers and Bull Ring where grinding takes place.

A constant quantity of air is circulated through the mills and system. The air from blower enters the mills through a series of tangential ports round the bases of grinding chamber and sweeps the fine and medium fine material to the classifier above the grinding chamber leaving no grinded material in the chamber and allowing the rollers to work & efficiently crushing coarse material.

The classifier separates grinded materials, and coarse particles return to grinding chamber for further size reduction. Fine materials are carried by air to the cyclone air separators where air and grinded material are separated and collected. The clean air is returned to the blower for close circuit operation.

Dustless Operation:

For providing dustless operation, the mills is operated under negative pressure and is equipped with a Dust Collector system where any surplus air in the circuit is vented and fine dust is collected in dust collector bags.

How It works ?

The top weight on the motor shaft rotates in a plane close to the centre of the mass of assembly, Rotation of the top eccentric weights creates vibration in the horizontal plane which causes material to move across the screen cloth to periphery increasing the top eccentric mass.

The bottom eccentric weight rotates below the centre of vibrating, mass creating till on the screen giving vibration in vertical & tangential planes increasing the vertical component of motion which promotes turn over of material on the screen surface helping maximum quantity of undersize material to pass through the screen.

The effective vertical motion helps in minimizing blinding of screen by near size' particles. The tangential component of motion is controlled by the angle of lead given to bottom weight with relation to top weight.

Shri Krishna Cool Grinderwith Air Blower & Cyclone Separator along with dust collector is economical unit designed for general all round work for time saving operation. It is available in various models depending upon production capacity & HP required. All types of products pass through a wide feed hopper into the grinding chamber. The swinging hammers, in the rotating hammer rotor, crush materials at the stationery lines before passes through a screen and rotating hammers.

The ground material is continuously sucked by a powerful air blower through screen and conveyed through the pipe line into the cyclone separator for bagging. The air blower maintains constant atmospheric cool air flow into mill chamber in order to obtain a cool product and continuously clean the screen, thus increasing the output of the ground material.

The particles size of the ground material can be varied by a large range of sieves with the desired opening. The dust & ground material gets separated in the cyclone separator. Top of the cyclone air balloon is fitted. Air balloon separates clean air & dust. The dust gets collected in air balloon. These types of elevator is mostly used for bulks materials, which are free flowing, fine or small lump materials, such as grain, sand, clay, sugar and dry chemicals. Buckets are mounted at intervals on a belt or chain. They usually operate vertically but have the capability to be designed to be inclined according to the requirement. Buckets are filled with materials by a combination of direct materials loading into buckets and by scooping from the boot, which is the lowest part of the elevator. Speed is comparatively higher and is basically controlled by the head sprocket or drum diameter and its eject from the bucket containers at the discharged end.

These are similar to the centrifugal discharge type, except that buckets are snubbed back under head sprockets to gain a more complete discharge at a slower chain speed. The elevators can handle light aerates, dusty and sticky materials that are not easily dischargeable from a centrifugal discharge elevator. The buckets are mounted at intervals on two strands of chain. Providing a capacity equal to the centrifugal discharge type requires larger buckets or closer spacing of buckets on the chain. This is a forced type of discharge and is thus effective in transferring maximum of the carried material over to the destination.

The air lock maintains a tight, positive air seal by keeping a maximum of the six flexible neoprene steel backed wipers in full contact with the interior housing at all times.

Fitted with a main vertical shaft carrying a cast steel spider from which rollers assembly are suspended.
