Our achievements have helped is capturing the major markets of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and areas like Chennai, Vellore District, Bengalore etc. to facilitate the structural needs of our customers, we have developed an expansive and well developed infrastructure, apart from that, we have defined 7 chilling centers and 3 BMCs in AP & TN from there we obtain cow & buffalo milk, where is rigorously checked by our quality controllers for its quality, freshness and purity. Products we offer are assured to be in compliance with norms and parameters of the industry.
The Company has One Major Packing Station and Three Marketing Offices. We are handling 1 lakh litres/day. Our Turnover is around 134 crores.
His business career started as a small milk vendor in Chittoor town of Andhra Pradesh in the year 1983. During 1985 he established a Milk Parlour sold milk and milk products on retail basis. In the same year he started procuring milk from Villages around Chittoor and supplied to Hotels, Vendors and Consumers directly through sales centers located in the habitant areas by employing agents on commission basis. The average sale of milk was about 1,000 to 1,500 ltrs per day. Thereafter he wanted to expand his area of work to cities like Bangalore. So, he worked in that area and procured orders for supply of chilled Raw Milk on regular basis. He arranged with an Ice factory having spare capacity in refrigeration and made use of this facility to chill around 2,000 litres of milk procured from the Villages per day. This was then supplied to Customers through his own truck in cans.
Satisfied by the timely delivery and quality of milk, many more orders came through and the supplies exceeded 5,000 Ltrs per day. ‘PARRY CONFECTIONERY LIMITED’ is one of his important and satisfied customers, who gave him a bulk order for supply of chilled milk to be used in their factory.
The expansion of his business necessitated the need to have an own chilling unit of much bigger capacity. Therefore, in the year 1995, a good piece of land was identified and purchased. The construction of factory buildings to accommodate the necessary technically advanced machineries to handle a capacity of 20,000 litres of milk per day was started. Suitable machines were installed and all other statutory regulations of the government, including obtaining licenses and other Government clearances were also done. This process was completed in the mid of 1998 and the plant started functioning in its full swing.
The Factory buildings were completed in the year 1998 and all the approvals, and licenses were obtained the required machinery to handle milk of 20,000 Ltrs were installed and put to use on 21.9.1998, under the name and style of M/S. BALAMURUGAN DAIRY PRODUCTS.
The decades of hard work borne fruitful results and now he is an expert in managing this industry in all aspects relating to procurement, Processing, Marketing, etc..
