Sikiry, founded in 2022, engages with indigenous forest and sericulture communities in Assam to produce handwoven, pure Eri silk fabric. At the heart of our enterprise lies the spirit of promoting and conserving the unique artisanship of women - centric tribal weaving communities across North-Eastern states of India. We are organising ourselves as an ever expanding atelier where a weaver can always find work with the creative liberty integral for an artist and the financial security that their art deservingly demands. At Sikiry, we are uncompromising in upholding the core principles of fair trade. We aim and support traceability for each of our supplies and ensure fair prices and wages to artisans.
