cod analysis system is one of the pollution monitoring instruments. Cod analysis requires digestion of samplers using potassium dichromate and sulphuric acid. Spectralab offers three models of cod digesters : model 2015mcod digester for 20 ml sample size, model 5015m for 50 ml sample size and 2025m for 2-5 ml sample size. The digested sample is then titrated against fes04 , for which model ct 15 cod titrator is specially designed. Determinations of cod are commonly made on samples of waste waters or natural waters contaminated by domestic or industrial wastes. Dichromate reflux method is used for the same.

Coulometric titration process is a titration method in which constant current electrolysis is carried out using electrolytic control method. Spectralab Model CM-08 is based on the principle of coulometry. It detects the moisture content as low as 1 ppm. In this method iodine is generated byintermittent electrolysis in the titration vessel. The moisture content is calculated using the titration time and the constant current passed. It is micro controller based, reliable and easy to use. For collection of water sample at predefined time intervals, consisting of a pump with programmable controller. The quality of effluent does not remain same throughout the day. It therefore becomes essential to monitor various parameter again & again at different intervals to have correct idea. BOD Biochemical oxygen demand is one of the important parameter of effluent analysis. The SPECTRALAB Microcontroller based BOD Monitor system is based on well known principle of Electrolytic Respirometry In this method exact quantity of oxygen is supplied as per demand & the oxygen required can be directly noted in mg/liter against time.BOD Monitor is designed to measure the oxygen uptake of a given sample continuously. It consist of Cell assembly, Electronic Unit & Magnetic Stirrer. The Sample is kept in continuous stirring to ensure constant absorption of OXYGEN.BOD is to be reported at 27C for 3 days. However, with this instrument after studying routine samples the BOD can be predicted with in 1 to 2 days by using prediction factor.

The common Turbidity Meters use incandescent lamps as light sources, which emit broad spectrum. The wide range of wavelengths can cause colorimetric interference in turbidity readings. The solid state cooling system is based on peltier effect & can be used for applications such as viscosity bath & other small cooling application
