Product Highlights BASE ASSEMBLY : The base frame is made out of a fabricated steel structure designed to withstand all the external forces like wind load, dead weight of Insulator & contacts, short circuit force and seismic force etc. Both the rotating post is supported by two nos. ball bearing one at top & one at bottom of the bearing housing with adequate distance between them to avoid wobbling of Insulator CONTACTS : The main Contact consists of a U- Shaped tube, in which the main contacts and the rotating contacts are installed. The U-shaped tube is either Copper/Aluminium with copper contact fingers plated with silver. Each contact fingers is provided with stainless steel springs to ensure reliable contact pressure. The jaw and fist type contacts are so designed that the current transfer takes place through multi-point contacts that are equipped with stainless springs, which ensure low contact resistance. Wiping action carried out during closing & opening of isolator and the design ensures low operational torque and smooth & effective closing of contacts. The rotating contacts Disconnectors transfers the current from the terminal stud to the moving blade through silver plated bronze ball contacts that are housed in a bronze housing and pressed against the stud and housing though a stainless steel spring. The rotating contact construction is completely sealed to ensure maintenance free operation The contacts are self cleansing type and provided with “Dead Centre Mechanism” that ensures the locking of Disconnector in both close and open position in case of extreme external forces such as wind force, short circuit force, seismic force etc.

Product Highlights The base is made of steel plates on which the insulators are mounted. The individual bases are connected by means of a tie rod.  The main blade is made of two aluminum tubes with a hinge in the middle and has silver-plated copper contacts at the jaw end. During closing of the Disconnector, the main blade makes a horizontal stretching movement. Full contact pressure of the main contacts achieved by full stretching of the main blade. The main contacts are of the “reverse-loop” design, which makes them suitable for very high short circuit currents. All contact fingers are made of silver-plated copper and are equipped with stainless steel springs to ensure reliable contact pressure. 

Product Highlights The pantograph mechanism is installed on the support insulator and transfers the movement of the operating rod insulator to the arms of the Pantograph Disconnector. The mechanism is housed in an Aluminium enclosure, protecting it from pollution and ice. The springs that compensate the weight of the pantograph arms are also installed inside the housing. Each Pantograph is equipped with four aluminum arms to ensure a rigid construction with a very high short circuit rating. The main contact arms are made of Aluminium with copper contacts of silver plated surface. The counter contact is a horizontal copper bar, silver plated, which is hung to the bus bar system. The current transfer takes place from the trapeze to the bottom aluminum housing through four arms and number of silver plated bronze ball contacts that are housed in grease packed bronze housing. Disc springs are provided to maintain the contact pressure on the bronze balls against the bronze castings. The Pantograph Disconnectors are equipped with the dead centre mechanism that ensures the locking of Disconnector in both close and open position in case of extreme external forces such as wind force, short circuit force, seismic force etc. 

The Double Break Disconnectors are of simple construction, centre post rotating breaks at both the ends. CONTACTS: The Main Contact consists of two fixed contacts mounted on support insulators on both ends and one moving blade mounted on the rotating insulator at the centre. The Fixed contacts are made of Hard-Drawn Electrolytic Copper, duly silver plated and are of reverse loop design supported by stainless steel springs. The Main Blades is equipped with turn and twist mechanism with self-wiping action and pressure reliving spring-loaded contacts, which results in low contact resistance and ensures proper current transfer in all conditions. That ensures reliable contact pressure, smooth closing & opening of the switch, and self wiping action making the Disconnector reliable in severe climatic and pollution zones. The 420kV Disconnectors are equipped with the “DEAD Centre Mechanism”, that ensures the locking of disconnector in both close and open position in case of extreme external forces such as wind force, short circuit force, seismic force etc. Key features – • Reliable and Robust Design • Low Contact resistance due to multi-point contact. • Turn & Twist and Dead Centre Mechanism increases. • Capability of Ice-Break Operation.    

The Disconnector may be provided with built on earthing switches on either left hand side or right hand side or on both side as per customer requirement. Maintenance earthing switch can also be provided.

We are offering pantograph disconnector. The pantograph disconnector is a divided support single column disconnector with vertical isolating distance used in outdoor high voltage sub-stations. This type of disconnectors permit the design of modern switchgear installations with minimum-space requirement.

We are offering centre break disconnector. Contacts : the main contact is of modern design and has the following salient features reliable robust in construction good electrical & thermal conductivity high long & short time current carrying capacity low contact resistance due to multi-point contact suitable for use at high continuous and short time temperature

Three phase AC Induction motors or Permanent Magnet DC motors are being used as per the customer’s requirement. Suitable thermal overload relays are provided to protect the motor from overload. The control circuits may be DC or AC as per the Customer’s requirement. Auxiliary contacts for position indication and interlocking with other equipments are housed in the operating mechanism. If required make before break (MBB) contacts can also be fitted with the auxiliary contact as per customer’s requirement.

We are offering vertical break disconnector. Designation:vb voltage:25 kv current: up to 2000a the vertical break disconnector is of simple design of two post insulator and one operating rod insulator. The arm moves vertical position by the operating rod insulator for disconnecting the line.this design is mostly used in indian railways electrification. The disconnector is suitable for mounting horizontally or vertically as per sub-station layout.
