Pierre SERRE,the founder of taste Of nature is responsible for Shambala Garden,one of Auroville's farms. Very attentive and sensitive to the Earth and the help it provides us, Pierre explains that he has an individual destiny, with a personal adventure within a collective, that of Auroville. A vegetarian and passionate about the brand he created, "Taste of Nature," he devotes his energy to creating natural products that showcase his farm and those around it. The non-profit enterprise is now supported primarily by volunteers who are sensitive to issues of organic food and nature conservation. The goal: to avoid wasting surplus fruit Taste Of Nature team realized that there was often a surplus of fruit from the Auroville farms. Since it couldn't be stored for very long, the fruit could go to waste. He then decided to find a solution to enjoy organic fruit while retaining the full spectrum of natural nutrients and making it easy to eat year-round. With a small group of people, Pierre Serre grows and processes the food into natural banana snacks. These are free of any additives, preservatives, artificial flavors, or sugar. On the production side, the fruit is first placed on a bed of straw on shelves and waits to ripen. Then, the bananas are thinly sliced and gently placed on trays before being placed in a food dehydrator at the right temperature. This technique enhances the fruit's aroma. Who is this food for? For those little cravings, of course, but not only that, as the product is a high-quality nutritious snack and an energy booster for everyday life or during exercise. “It’s like a companion,” Pierre explains.
