The tile sample is pressed under a specified load against a grinding path, strewen evenly with an abrasive powder, revolving at the rate of 30 1 rpm. At the end of 100 revolutions of the disc, the second parallel side of the tile is subjected to wear an equal number of revolutions of the disc.The wear of the tile is measured using AIM48101 thickness measuring device (which is supplied at extra cost). The Abrasion Testing Machine consists of a replaceable grinding path, fitted on to a disc rotating about its vertical axis. The rotating disc and the grinding path are enclosed by a circular tray. A bracket holds the specimen. The loading is by a counterbalanced lever. For quality specimens to be manufactured efficient mixing of concrete, prior to moulding is essential. Mixing helps in coating the surface of all aggregate particles with cement paste and bring uniformity in the mixture . We offer both Drum type and Pan type models of concrete mixture. They are suitable for mixing small quantities of concrete, generally used in thelaboratories.
Concrete Mixer, Drum Type, Capacity 30 Litre
The mixer consists of a steel vessel of 30 litres, mounted on a frame. The vessel is rotated at 20-24 RPM with the help of a motor and a pulling. The vessel can be tilted to any angle by a handle. This facilitates mixing and discharge. Blades are provided inside the vessel to mix the material thoroughly. The large handle strip facilitates manual rotation of the drumduring power failure. The drum, handle and motor etc. are mounted on a steel frame. This model is provided with two large wheels for carting away.

The Concrete Mixer has been designed for mixing small quantities of concrete used in preparation of concrete cubes, for testing in laboratories. The purpose of the mixer is to smear mechanically the aggregate surface with cement paste uniformly & produce a mix of uniform consistency. This in turn gives consistent quality of cube specimens when casted in the moulds. The Concrete Mixer developed is transportable on wheels. The design of mixing paddles ensure uniform & efficient mixing of cement & aggregate both in dry & wet conditions. This machine is suitable for aggregate size upto 20mm. The Compressometer consists of two frames for clamping to the specimen by means of five tightening screws with hardened and tapered ends. Two spacers hold the two frames in position. The Plummet Balance consists of a vertical rod mounted on a heavy base with levelling screws. A light weight pointer with pointed steel pivots, turning in jeweled bearings moves over a scale graduated in percentage units 0-100 in 2% divisions. The Shrinkage Limit of a soil is defined as the moisture content after which any further reduction of moisture does not cause volume reduction. The shrinkage of clayey soil can be very significant. A fully saturated soil specimen is allowed to dry in free air and its volume is measured repeatedly by immersing in a mercury bath. Invariably in every soil laboratory, compaction and penetration tests on soils are carried out regularly. The electrically operated mechanical compaction process eliminates the tedious hand compaction process and results in a considerable saving of time. Two rammers with two different stroke lengths are provided. This makes the apparatus suitable to carry out all the normal compaction operations required in soil testing laboratories including the CBR tests.This is a new design motor driven mechanical compactor, useful for soil compaction in 100 mm or 150 mm dia moulds. The rammer travels across the mould and the table rotates the mould in equal steps on a stable base. The number of blows per layer can be set at the beginning of the test.Rammer - circular faced 50mm dia adjustable to 2.6kg or 4.9kg weight.Drop - Adjustable to 310mm or 450mm.Supplied with AIM 11001-MS and AIM 11101-MSThe equipment is suitable for operation on 220 V, 50 Hz, Single Phase, AC supply.

Aimil provides two model of asphalt mixer. This machine is used for laboratory mixing of bituminous materials to prepare the specimens to be used for various asphalt tests. Its is widely used in road construction laboratories, Testing laboratories, Research Institutions. The machine mainly consists of a main frame, variable speed mixer, elevating system, heating pot, electrical control box. The variable speed mixer consists of electric motor, gear box and vertical curved blade. The elevating system consists of a motor, worm gear, up right column, guide bar and stopper block and the heating pot has a double lever metal pot, conduction coil and electric heater.In vertical type of mixer the pot can move up and down and in the horizontal type of mixer the elevating system with agitator assembly moves up and down. The Automatic compactor eliminates the laborious process of manual compaction and allows achievement of even degree of compaction is achieved. The drive mechanism lifts the weight of 4.5 kg and drops it through a height of 457 mm. The rammer foot is removable, which facilitates preheating. A compaction pedestal with specimen holder is fixed to the base. An automatic blow counter enables the number of blows to be preset before each test and automatically stops the machine on completion.

Centrifuge Extractors are used for determining the bitumen percentage in Bituminous Paving mixtures.paving mixtures. It has a removeable, precision machined, aluminium rotor bowl, mounted on a vertical shaft. A filter paper disc is pressed in-between the rotor bowl and cover plate by tightening a knurled nut. The bowl assembly is enclosed in a housing mounted on a cast body. In the electrical operating model, the rotor bowl is coupled to a motor. The solvent may be introduced during test through a cup on the housing cover.

Film stripping device is used to measure the resistance of bituminous mixtures to stripping of asphalt from aggregate particles. It is generally used to evaluate mineral aggregates & to judge the adhesion of the bituminous materials.The device consists of a disk on which 4 bottles are mounted. The disc rotates at a speed of approx. 100 rpm. The sample, usually the aggregate fraction which passes a 9.525 mm sieve but is retained on a No. 8 sieve, is placed in the bottles & agitated for 15 minutes. The percentage of aggregate stripped can be visually estimated. The device is provided with a pre set counter. Suitable for operation on 220 V, 50Hz, Single Phase, AC supply.

Flow cup of the efflux type is used for approximate measurements of apparent viscosity for control of consistency during manufacture and use of paints, lacquers and viscous products. Flow cups with protective skirt are made from gun metal with stainless steel orifice and are equivalent to Type B cups. Each cup is supplied complete with a stand having levelling screws.

Aimil Hydro Frac System has been developed for application of In-situ stress measurement by Hydro Fracture Test at near surface and underground situations. The compact nature of Hydro Frac tool enables location of the tool in a section of test hole free of incipient weakness in the rock mass and as uniform as possible. This also means that the stress measurements can be made within a volume of rock small enough that stress gradient will not have a significant inpact on the measurement.The equipment is designed for operating upto a depth of 30m approximately consistent with a typical application envisaged and avoiding the need for any sophisticated down hole Instrumentation.The Hydro Frac System consists of two manually operated Hydraulic Pumps, a USB Data Acquisition System, two pressure transducers, two pressure gauges, all of which are enclosed in a dust proof metal enclosure and is called the main unit. The controls of the equipment are located on the main unit in such a way that they are easily accessible to the operator. The main unit is mounted on a metal frame to make it convenient for carrying to the test site manually. The Installation rods are manufactured from stainless steel. The system can deliver dual hydraulic pressure upto 400 kgf/cm2. An Impression packer which is a very important part of the system is manufactured for use in diamond drilled Ex size bonebase holes.
