These flexible nylon hooks retract the iris with minimal damage to the tissue thereby providing a fast and simple method for temporary pupil enlargement.

A TruViz Capsular Hook may not hold the bag in place during phaco if the zonules are especially weak. Surgeons sometimes use iris retractors on the rim of the capsulorhexis in order to manage this problem, but iris retractors aren't designed for this purpose. An Endocapsular Tension Ring is an extremely useful device for the cases of zonular dehiscence.
