A very nice dark green Poinsettia type hybrid cucumber. Green Slam F1 has good disease resistance to CMV, PMR and DMR. It is early and as slicer has been accepted where smooth cucumber and uniform dark green is required by the market. Green Slam F1 is the most popular of our hybrids.
Fruits mature with in 100-110 days. Fruit weight is around 2 kg. Flesh color is cream and it has yellow skin. It is very sweet and extremely high yielder. It is highly tolerant to PMR 1-2. It has a very long shelf life and is highly suitable for long distance transportation. Its vigorous vines provide good cover and high yields. Exceptionally suited for high quality markets and widely adapted in many regions and climates.
Fruit weight is about 1.5-2 Kg. Flesh is bright red color with very high TSS (Sweetness). Plants are dwarf, grow up to a height of 5 to 6 feet maximum. On an average each plant bears 50-60 fruits in the first flush and 40-50 fruits in the second flush. The hybrid is free from male plants. Fruits have an excellent shelf life.
Maturity 82-85 days after transplanting, fruit weighs about 1 to 1.2 kgs. TSS is around 13%. Plants are highly vigorous and produce more than two fruits per plant. It is resistant to Fusarium 0 & 1. It withstands transportation.
