Alpha’s GMX Series CableUPS® is a cost-effective standby power supply designed for powering signal processing equipment in cable television and broadband LAN distribution systems. It provides a critical load with current-limited, regulated, AC power that is free of spikes, surges, sags and noise. The GMX’s line interactive ferro topology allows it to compensate for input voltage variations of ±30% while providing constant output voltage. Alpha’s GMX is a cost-effective CableUPS® designed for cable operators who need a reliable, basic uninterruptible power supply. Features of the GMX include an embedded status monitoring card slot, smart display, terminal block output connections, 63 and 87V output taps, external battery temperature probe, built-in chassis handle and removable MOV’s.

The Lectro Ferro Series employs a simple, compact design that regulates voltage and protects against surges and spikes without complex electronics. Lectro Ferros are the perfect choice for non-standby applications where battery backup is not required. All Lectro Ferros feature foldback protection for overload conditions and automatic recovery. An advanced heatsink design dissipates heat quickly to ensure long transformer life. Each Lectro Ferro model is available in either a pole or ground mount configuration and is deployable in a variety of applications.

Alpha’s Smart-Pack offers a rugged, lightweight case manufactured specifically to house Alpha Inverter Modules. The Dual IM Case has a strong, hard exterior with a soft cushioning interior to protect the Inverter Modules from damage in transport. In addition, the pink interior cushioning is antistatic, minimizing the chances of static electricity-induced damage to circuit boards. To avoid unnecessary truck rolls, technicians can now carry an emergency supply of Inverter Modules and other spare components in the maintenance truck to be used in the event of unexpected component failures. Due to its ability to house Inverter Modules for both Alpha’s XM2-HP and XM3-HP power supplies, customers can customize their case with specific components to best fit their network.

Enable your XM2 or XM3 power supply cabinets for localized delivery of reliable power, high bandwidth backhaul and mounting for Wi-Fi Access Points, Security Cameras, or any other Power over Ethernet (PoE+) device. The AlphaGateway XMG combines the UPS power from the XM2 or XM3 power supply with DOCSIS 3.0 backhaul through the DM3.0 transponder to provide IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet (PoE+) powered network connectivity up to 100m from the power supply location, providing maximum flexibility for equipment mounting and positioning.

Alpha's Ground Mount enclosures are installed all over the world, with each enclosure featuring a removable door and lid. Standard features include high magnetic circuit breaker, duplex AC receptacle and service power inserter. Optional features include a battery integration tray, surge protector, battery heater mat, storm hood, battery expansion cabinets and meter enclosure models.

Alpha presents the High Security HP Enclosure to provide the toughest, most durable housing solution for critical power system components and the ultimate protection against severe weather conditions and criminal activity. Significant features include a fortified battery bar with security screws andor padlock, 2-point hooked latch locks, a flush and reinforced door and concealed hinges to prevent unathorized access. The High Security Enclosure is a premium housing solutions for both pole and ground mount applications.

The LPE is an ideal solution for cable network power when traditional equipment is too large or bulky. Designed for multiple dwelling units, the LPE is more than 40 percent smaller than a standard PWE enclosure. Engineered to work with the XM2-300HP power supply and a single 220 GXL or two 70 HPL-FT batteries, the LPE enclosure offers a low-profile solution to keep your customer’s communications alive. The LPE uses a convective airflow system to cool the interior of the enclosure. Rising warm air draws in cooler air from the underside of the enclosure to lower the internal temperature of the LPE. Benefits of this cooling method are extended equipment life and eliminating the need for a louvered front door.

Designed for collocated power and fibernode configurations, the FPE enclosure provides a rugged outdoor solution for multiple outside plant and fiber deep applications. With easy front, rear and top access, and a universal node mounting bracket and wire management, the FPE provides a complete system solution for expanding HFC networks.

As advanced voice, video and data fiber based services are deployed deeper into the broadband network, the need for reliable and attractive modular transition nodes increases. The Radium MiniBay supports a wide range of applications including bulk power to CATV hub and secondary hub requirements.
