Gardner Denver’s full line of compact Commandair reciprocating air compressors are manufactured to the same quality standards as our larger, industrial models. These packages are sized for smaller air requirements such as small industrial plants, schools, small automotive centers, and do-it-yourselfers. Single-Stage Electric Driven The single-stage series of Commandair air compressor packages are available from ½ through 3 HP, with the option of horizontal or vertical style receivers, or as base mounted. Air pressure ratings are available up to 125 PSIG. Thermal overload protected motors are standard on ½ through 1 HP, single phase, 115 Volt units. • Cast iron cylinders for holding rigid tolerances and ensuring high compressor efficiency. • Lightweight aluminum alloy pistons ensure proper reciprocating balance. Two compression rings and one oil-control ring are used for better oil control, less air blow-by, and higher efficiency. • High density, high silicon die-cast aluminum alloy connecting rods minimize reciprocating weight and help promoted exceptional compressor life. • High-quality Swedish Steel reedtype valves provide long life. • Tapered roller bearings on two and threecylinder models provide premium low friction movement for minimized efficiency. • Precision balanced flywheel has fan blades for maximum compressor cooling resulting in cooler compressor operating temperatures. • Rugged ductile iron crankshaft has large diameter throws for minimum bearing loads and counterweights to minimize vibration. • Rugged cast iron crankcase designed to rigidly support the crankshaft and bearings. • Convenient oil level sight gauge on 2 and 3 cylinder models. • Removable cartridge-type intake filter features a 10-micron rated element.

The Champion APL and APO are single stage, two cylinder, pressure lubricated compressors equipped with a two-groove, 17 inch sheave for belt driven applications. The APL and APO have an integrated cooling fan built into the cast iron sheave for maximum cooling. The Champion ATLE6 is a single stage, two cylinder, pressure lubricated compressor that is equipped with an SAE#3 bell housing flange for direct engine mounting and remote site operation. Wherever there’s a demand for a low pressure engine driven compressor, the ATLE6 is the compressor for the job. Because it is direct coupled to the engine, there is no need to worry about belts slipping or wearing out. When connected to the engine, all rotating components are totally enclosed and protected from the environment. The AVLEK is a single stage vacuum pump, AVLAN is a single stage booster and the AVLAV is a two-stage compressor. All A-Series compressors are designed to provide optimum performance in a wide variety of operations. The ANP is ideal for natural gas gathering applications and is available in both singleand two-stage models.

Compressor Pump Warranty Each new Gardner Denver Assembled Unit has a five (5) year warranty on the compressor pump only, against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use and service, from the date of installation or sixty-six (66) months from the date of shipment by Gardner Denver or a Gardner Denver distributor, whichever may occur first. The five-year extended warranty covers parts and labor and is prorated over the five years as follows: Year One — 100% coverage Year Two — 90% coverage Year Three — 80% coverage Year Four — 70% coverage Year Five — 60% coverage Head valves are warranted for Year One only. Gardner Denver makes no warranty on components andor accessories furnished to Gardner Denver by third parties, such as electric motors, gasoline engines and controls. These are warranted only to the extent of the original manufacturer ’s warranty to Gardner Denver. Electric motors must be equipped with thermal overload protection to have warranty consideration. The extended five-year warranty will apply to ASME air receivers if they are installed on rubber vibro isolator pads or approved equivalent. 5 Year Electric Motor Electric motor is warranted for 60 months from start-up or 63 months from shipment. Other manufacturer’s motors furnished due to customer request or special requirements carry the motor manufacturer ’s warranty. All units are built to ISO 9001 standards. Package Warranty Gardner Denver warrants each new air compressor package to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year (12 months) from the date of installation or 15 months from the date of shipment by Gardner Denver. Units manufactured in Canada have a pump and package warranty for two (24 months) years. Limited Warranty Warranty shall not apply to any equipment which has been subjected to misuse, neglect or accident, nor shall it apply to any equipment that has been repaired or altered by any person(s) not authorized by Gardner Denver. Failure caused by lack of proper maintenance is not covered by warranty. In no event shall Gardner Denver be liable for consequential damages or contingent liabilities arising out of failure of any compressor or part to operate properly. When a compressor pump or component is changed or replaced during the warranty period, the newreplaced item(s) is warranted for only the remainder of the original warranty period. Gardner Denver has been building air compressors and compressor-exhausters for diesel-electric locomotives since 1935. Locomotive compressors perform the critical function of operating the air or vacuum braking systems and other accessories in the locomotive. Our complete line of locomotive air compressors and compressorexhausters includes 3 cylinder, 4 cylinder, and 6 cylinder models. The first Gardner Denver compressors designed for locomotive use were water-cooled. Air-cooled compressors came into use in the 1940’s for diesel electric freight locomotives with a car body design that directed a free flow of air to the air compressor. In the 1950’s, enclosed car body freight locomotives were built with higher horsepower engines that required the use of water-cooled compressors. Gardner Denver currently offers both water-cooled and air-cooled compressors and compressor-exhausters for a variety of locomotive applications.
