Norton® ETFE films exhibit superior mechanical toughness as well as similar chemical inertness to its FEP and PFA cousins. ETFE can be processed using many of the same techinques as other thermoplastics including heat sealing, thermoforming, laminating, and die cutting. Most grades of ETFE are rated for continuous use at 150°C (302°F), based on the 20, 000-hr criterion.

With its ideal balance of chemical compatibility, electrical reliability, wide thermal range, mechanical toughness, and long term weather ability there are numerous uses where FEP becomes an ideal solution.
