ARC Technologies blends thermoplastics with fillers to create the solution to your problem. ARC Technologies can manufacture thermoplastics to be used in a cast, molded, extruded, or pellet form. In the binder ARC Technologies can compound different fillers, typically: carbon, ferrite or iron particles to achieve the desired absorption or conductivity to solve the problem. By combining a binder that is in the form which meets the product requirements and with the fillers that also meet the electrical and magnetic properties, a complete solution can be met. Why Thermoplastics Are Effective The thermoplastic solution is very effective in solving the key issues of the problem. Parts can be molded to snap over the IC’s, or extruded to wrap and cover a product or cable, or sold as pellets so the end customer can moldextrude their own product. The use of fillers allows ARC Technologies to tune the end product for narrow or broadband applications. When To Use: This product line is very flexible and versatile. ARC Technologies can mold components for you, or extrude sheet and apply PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) to it, or supply it in pellet form to your molder.

ARC Technologies, Inc. offers a wide variety of RF absorbers. Multilayer (ML) is a family of lightweight, flexible open cell foam absorption material, designed for broadband applications. The ML absorbers function on an impedance matching principle, with each layer loaded for predetermined loss tangents, providing electrically tapered reflection loss characteristics. Product Overview A combination of open cell foam sheets with stepped carbon loads. It is available in sheet form, it has low density, light weight, and can be custom carbon loaded to meet high or low loss requirements. This RF absorber is effective mainly for far field requirements and controlling surface currents. ARC Technologies manufactures this thin, flexible, resonant-tuned, lightweight foam absorber. By closely controlling the dielectric properties, maximum absorption can be attained at specific frequencies. The ARC-SS series, (also known as Salisbury Screen), is based on the quarter wavelength absorption principle. This principle assures effective cancellation of the incident wave at the front of the absorber.

Water Jet – Precision Abrasive WaterJet System Our 5-Axis “a-jet” Water-Jet machine can precision cut custom designs with a wide variety of materials, everything from simple metals to complex composites. We have the machining capability to cut abrasive, allowing our machine to cut steel up to 6″ thick. Using water only cutting allows us to cut softer materials like foam and rubber composites with precision as well. Our OMAX 5555 JetMachining Center allows for rapid prototyping and just-in-time manufacturing. Our WaterJet machine has a 55″ x 55″ cutting surface and has a tolerance of +- 0.003″.

This product is halogen free, RoHS and REACH compliant. Product Overview The LS series is an open cell foam with carbon loading. It is available in sheet form, has low density, is light weight and can be custom carbon loaded to meet high or low loss requirements. It is effective mainly for far field requirements. This product is typically used in a multi-layer form taking advantage of the layering of various carbon loadings. This RF absorber is ideal for suppression of electromagnetic energy. Placement in a cavity will reduce multiple reflections, which result in improved performance. Product provides broadband absorption from 500MHz to 40GHz. Why LS is effective The LS material is effective due to its open cell foam construction with its ability to retain various carbon loadings to absorb the EMI. With its low density, high loss, carbon impregnated open cell foam; it is available in a range of thicknesses with various carbon loadings. The carbon loadings allow it to be effective over a broad range of frequencies typically providing a 5 dB loss or more. This product is halogen free, RoHS and REACH compliant. Product Overview The LS series is an open cell foam with carbon loadings. It is available in sheet form, has low density, is light weight and can be custom carbon loaded to meet high or low loss requirements. It is effective mainly for far field requirements. This product is typically used in a multi-layer form taking advantage of the layering of various carbon loadings. LS foam is ideal for suppression of electromagnetic energy. The RT series is a group of open-cell, carbon-loaded foam absorbers. Exacting control of the conductive gradient provides outstanding broadband performance. RT’s open cell structure is an excellent conduit for convective airflow. Lightweight and flexible, RT is offered in flat form or in a convoluted format for higher electrical performance. This product is halogen free, RoHS and REACH compliant.
