Axenics offers Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) tube bending services for larger tube bends and for customers requesting high-quantity tube bending services. We have the ability to work with all of the major alloys, including; copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and Inconel. Benefits of CNC Tube Bending CNC tube bending provides a more precise, automatic, and repeatable process than manual tube bending. Compared with manual bending, CNC tube bending machines can accurately control the degree of a bend, the distances between bends, and the plane of the bend. CNC tube bending allows for maximum accuracy due to its higher degree of control within the process. This computerized and automated tube bending process makes it possible to perform more complex bending processes than manual bending, and increases overall operational efficiency. Experts in Tube Bending Our highly-trained bend technicians are capable of CNC bending a wide range of bend radii. Our experts have several years of experience and knowledge which allows them to provide the most accurate bends possible. Once complete, all of our bends are leak tested before they leave the facility as a part of our strict ISO quality policy.

The AXENICS Model N2S100 Nitrogen Saver offers accurate, dependable flow of nitrogen for hot gas welding of plastic materials. The N2S100 automatically switches from nitrogen (while welding) to compressed air (while at rest), which greatly reduces overall nitrogen consumption. Unlike other nitrogen savers, the N2S100 has no pressure regulator. Instead, it has independent, adjustable flow meters, which allow for the precise control of gas flow through the welding torch. This unique design allows for a large variation of pressure between inlet gasses (30 PSI to 100 PSI). Easy to Use The N2S100 is constructed of heavy gauge steel and can be wall mounted or set on a bench top for ease of use. The universal torch rest will accommodate most brands of torches and custom brackets are available for specific applications. Specifications The unit operates on 120V AC, includes an 8-foot cord, an illuminated power switch, and a 15amp receptacle for the torch. Air flow continues through the torch when power is turned off, which allows the torch to cool down and prevent damage to the heating element. Gas connections are brass ¼” NPT. The overall dimensions are 8″ x 6″ x 412” deep. Applications The N2S100 Nitrogen Saver can be used in any industry that performs plastic welding services. One such example is the soldering industry, which has used the N2S100 for the soldering of aviation parts that have to be worked in a nitrogen atmosphere (such as on circuit boards for solar panels that are going out into space) to avoid contamination. This unit saves more than 50% of nitrogen used in this particular application.

Axenics’ experienced staff of certified welders specialize in Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding, also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Our welding technicians have more than 30 years of experience in the TIG welding field, joining both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Our TIG welding services can be used for a variety of industrial applications. TIG Welding Applications TIG welding is often used when there is a need for high quality, precision welding services, as it allows for accurate and refined welding. TIG welding is ideal for fillet-welded joints such as tee, lap and corner joints, in addition to butt welded joints that are too large for the orbital welder. TIG welding is also the best way to perform extremely small welds, such as for welding components for the aerospace industry. To avoid oxidation or “sugaring, ” Axenics flows ultra-high-purity argon inside the tube and through the torch, which prevents splattering. All of our completed welds are then leak tested to ensure optimal integrity. Axenics TIG Welding Process Axenics has the ability to perform TIG welding for projects requiring 300-series stainless steel, aluminum, Inconel and titanium. Our expert welders are ASME and Nadcap certified to perform TIG welding with or without filler metal (autogenous welding), depending on the size of the weld.

Axenics specializes in cleanroom orbital welding for high-purity stainless steel, Inconel and titanium. Orbital welding is a clean and efficient way to join tubes, flanges, elbows, joints and more as part of complex assemblies, no matter the application. In order to achieve the cleanest environment possible, tubes and fittings are welded in a high-purity, contaminant-free environment. High Purity Welding Axenics understands the importance of keeping damaging corrosives away from metal tubing. Impurities trapped inside the tube could ruin an entire process, and cause a significant loss of time and money. Axenics has developed precise cleanroom orbital welding practices for tubing in high purity gas boxes, gas and fluid handling systems and more. Axenics Orbital Welding Process Axenics specializes in performing cleanroom orbital welding services as well as vacuum manifolds in tubing ranging from 18” diameter to 4” diameter. Axenics uses argon for both external and internal purges to keep the welds exceptionally clean. Our orbital welds achieve 100% penetration to ensure meeting the customers’ specifications and standards. Computerized Orbital Welding Axenics uses computerized orbital welding technology, allowing us to set the welding schedule ahead of time. By specifying the particular metal to be welded, the machine adjusts the process accordingly. This saves a considerable amount of lead-time.

Axenics performs precision tube bending for complex assemblies, specialty piping kits, gas panels and other contract manufacturing processes used throughout a variety of industries. Axenics offers both manual and CNC precision tube bending services, depending on the size and quantity of bends desired. We also offer custom tube bending services, allowing us to bend to precise customer specifications. For larger tubing andor higher quantities of tube bending services, Axenics uses an automated CNC Tube Bending machine. Tube Bending Process The Axenics metal tube bending process uses several bending tools, hand benders andor our automated CNC bending machine, depending on the specific project requirements. Axenics uses mandrels, which help to maintain the shape of the tubing and prevent the unit from collapsing. Benefits of Precision Tube Bending Precision tube bending is often used in the aerospace industry for liquid and gas delivery, predominantly for cooling purposes. The benefits of this process include leak prevention, cost savings, space savings, and a smoother finish, among others. Axenics is certified to perform welding services in accordance with National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap) standards. Our certified staff is capable of welding and testing to customer specifications andor certifications upon request. We perform Nadcap welding services for the aerospace industry, both commercial and military, and other related industries as required. Axenics will certify to your process upon request, while following a Nadcap-certified welding process. Nadcap Welding Certification Axenics holds the D 17.1 Nadcap Welding Certification. Our welding processes for both manual and orbital TIG welding are covered under the Aerospace Quality System AC7004. This accreditation assures our aerospace customers that Axenics is sufficiently equipped to produce quality material for Tier One, Tier Two andor Tier Three suppliers; maintaining the high standards set forth by the industry. Nadcap Applications Axenics offers Nadcap welding services for everything from engines, airframes and landing gear to missile systems and space vehicles, and everything in between. Our certified staff is capable of welding 300-series stainless steel and Inconel 625, performing Nadcap-certified welds that range in size from 14” to 4” welds and beyond. Nadcap Welding Process Axenics performs Nadcap welding for simple welds, complex assemblies, machine components, and small-diameter tubes. Each step of the process is documented for traceability and accountability by every person who comes in contact with the metals, from start to finish. By using a traceable process, metals can be tracked back to their mill of origin, so that the precise chemical makeup of each metal is known.

Axenics offers tube cutting services performed with high precision. Our process is exceptionally clean, accurate and repeatable. Axenics uses the latest technology and machinery to provide the exact cut lengths desired, while keeping the inside diameter (ID) clean, and preventing contaminants from entering the tubing. Expert Technicians The skilled technicians at Axenics use a precision cut-off tool and a facing tool that can square the tubing to within .005. Axenics also offers custom finishing services for the outside diameter (OD) of the tube after cutting, for a cleaner look, using bead blasting, polishing and more, according to customer specifications. We can finish the process with bead blasting, polishing, and more, according to customer specifications. High Purity Cutting Environment Axenics is known for its high purity environment and ultra clean manufacturing space. In order to maintain the highest level of purity in our shop, we have a segregated space that is dedicated solely for our tube cutting process. By controlling the tube cutting operation, we contain particles in one area of the building so they cannot contaminate the rest of the manufacturing floor. Additional Services In addition to tube cutting and finishing services, we also provide TIG or orbital welding, tube bending, assembly and brazing. Axenics also offers custom tubing kits made to order at specific cut lengths and tolerances based on the needs of our customers.

Axenics provides tube bending services for thermoplastic materials such as Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a common plastic used across many industries because it is clean and chemical resistant; as well as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), Polypropylene (PP), and more. We also provide custom tube bending services for complex designs as needed. Tube Bending Capabilities We have the capability and expertise to bend plastic tubing into precise shapes, and can bend plastic into the same shapes that stainless steel tubing can be bent into. This allows design engineers the ability to create a system design knowing that the plastic tubing can be bent to conform to the precise shapes required by the schematic. The Benefits of Tube Bending Tube bending effectively eliminates the need for multiple fittings within a system or complex assembly. Bending tubing to a smaller radius also significantly reduces its overall length, resulting in a smaller overall assembly, which saves a significant amount of space, time and money in a variety of industrial applications. Our ability to weld tubing within 38” of a fitting or elbow allows us to significantly reduce overall tubing length and, as a result, reduce the overall footprint of a device or component. Tube Bending Process Plastics tend to kink easily when bent, which restricts the flow of liquids or chemicals through the tubing. The team of dedicated plastics specialists at Axenics have developed proprietary methods for bending plastic tubing in the most efficient way possible, allowing for tighter bends where needed. Although the process is challenging, our team of experts have performed thousands of tube bending configurations, allowing us to provide clean and consistent bends. By ensuring that the appropriate amount of heat is consistently applied to the tube being bent, the bend radius can be reduced without causing kinks.

Axenics offers clean and repeatable plastic tube welding services which mirror our welding capabilities for metals. Our certified welders are capable of welding polymer-based materials including Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC), Polypropylene (PP), and more. Machinery and Capabilities Our highly skilled and trained welders have the ability to perform ¼” tube-to-tube welds. We use Nitrogen gas, because it allows for the cleanest and most precise welds. Axenics also uses a custom built machine capable of repeating a simple welding process automatically to save our customers both time and money. The Benefits of Tube Welding Plastic tube welding is commonly used to modify valves and fittings, as well as to create custom manifolds and assemblies. Tube welding allows for the joining of two units as an alternative to the use of bulky or expensive fittings, saving time, space and money. Another way to cut down on space and improve efficiency in a complex assembly is to utilize tube bending, which eliminates the need for fittings or welding. Plastic Tube Welding Process Axenics welds plastic tubing using a process called hot gas welding, which can also be referred to as heat fusion or butt welding. Our thermoplastic tube welding process involves the joining of two polymer-based units using Nitrogen gas and heat to create the strongest possible bond. The two plastic units to be joined are heated simultaneously and pressed together. Once the pieces have cooled, they form a permanent bond.

Axenics specializes in providing helium leak testing for the purpose of identifying and locating even the smallest of leaks in pipes of all diameters. We are certified to perform helium leak testing on a full range of metal and plastic materials. Standard Helium Leak Testing with Every Weld Axenics provides accurate helium leak testing services to each of our customers as a guarantee of the quality of our welds. Our goal is to provide peace of mind for our customers, so they can rest assured that our weldments will not leak, and that they will preform perfectly in their overall process. We make sure the integrity of our welds is up to our customers’ standards. Benefits of Helium Leak Testing Helium is among the lightest and smallest of molecules, allowing it to penetrate small leaks quickly. The only smaller and lighter molecule is hydrogen; however, its flammable properties and tendency to be more expensive make helium the first choice for leak testing. In addition to being affordable and inflammable, helium is also non-toxic and non-reactive, which makes it very safe to use. Helium Leak Test Process Axenics uses a helium mass spectrometer to perform helium leak tests using one of two testing methods, depending upon the working conditions of the product being tested. Our Helium Leak Detection experts have been trained to ensure that the results of the test are read accurately. Axenics has two helium leak testing units at our facility. Our machines are maintained to manufactures specifications on an annual basis, in addition to weekly and monthly inspections and frequent calibration, performed in-house by our expert technicians to ensure they are functioning accurately.
