CIRCOR Aerospace, Inc. acquired the Loud Engineering & Manufacturing brand with a 40+ year history in 2005. A leading designer and manufacturer of actuation and landing gear components, CIRCOR Aerospace has worked with all the major airframers supporting both fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft. Major programs include Global Hawk UAV and F-16 Nose Wheel Steering Actuators, and commercial aircraft main landing gear retract actuators and main and nose landing gear door actuators. Working at the request of the U.S. Air Force, CIRCOR Aerospace developed a new, improved nose wheel steering actuator for the F-16 Fighter. The new actuator will significantly reduce aircraft maintenance time and cost for F-16 operators. This configuration has successfully received USAF approval, completed qualification testing and flight testing and is now in production for immediate deliveries.
