The T6131 module, based on the Lantronix XPort, provides a physically small IoT (Internet of Things) interface for Modbus RTU andor Modbus TCP devices that can be built into your product. The T6131 configuration is done over Ethernet through onboard web pages of the product and can therefore be managed from a remote location. The T6131 configuration is simple and the device is up and running in minutes. Mapping between Modbus registers and BACnet objects requires the creation of a template. An engineer who is familiar with the Modbus register map of the target Modbus devices creates a template for each device using a proprietary Windows tool, which has drop down menus for easy object name creation and engineering unit selection. An appropriate template is loaded into the T6131 during the configuration process.

The B6070 provides a BACnetIP interface for commodityutility flow meters that have a pulse output. This allows integrators to use simple meters. The B6070 meter interface accepts pulse inputs from four meters and portrays each channel as a set of BACnet objects. The B6070 is enclosed in a metal case that can be mounted standalone, in a 1U rack shelf or on a DIN rail. It is powered by 9 VDC at 1A via a 5.02.1mm barrel connector which can be supplied from an included external 120 VAC power supply. An optional international power supply with 50-60Hz and 100-240 VAC support is available. The unit has one ten-pin inline Euro-style 3.05mm plug connector for pulse channel inputs and one Ethernet 10100 RJ45 connector. There are (4) pulse input channels. The pulse input channels are each optically isolated. Each channel is self-powered through a DC-DC converter. Each channel can tolerate one stray potentialground. This is optimal for flow meters with dry contact closure outputs, and which might have stray grounds somewhere in their output circuits (water meters often have such stray grounds). The Ethernet port uses a standard shielded RJ45 connector with integral LEDs. Connection status can quickly be ascertained from the Link and Activity LEDs on each interface. An embedded web server allows for commissioning, configuration and troubleshooting via a standard web browser. A power LED is present along with the LEDs for interface status on each interface. The meter pulse counts are stored to flash memory. When the device senses a loss of power it will immediately write the latest pulse count so that data is not lost. This pulse value is made available to the BACnet network. Scale factors are able to be selected during setup so that the appropriate scaled usage data (gas, water, electrical) is also available as a BACnet analog object.

A B6060 BACnetIP to Emco Spirax Sarco FP-93 flow meter interface brings data from an FP-93 meter to BACnetIP networks.
